Kerri gt expressed my views on benefits rather better, confession time I hesitated to express them as members of these boards can be fairly unpleasant a times!

And I'll second matty moo on justifiable use of tax take.

Aesop it was pretty much my point neither of you would choose not to work. Enough said!

Animals: would love to be a tiger more likely an unholy meld of Tigger,Eeyore and Winnie the Pooh:rotfl:

Gag, no I know you said that you know both Ani and I want to work, that we are not claiming benefits for benefits sake.

I was just reiterating for myself and anyone else reading that I am not saying I do not want to work.

I like the idea of you being a tiger. Are you sure you don't want to be the skypanther ? Very majestic animal.

And do you know? I only just found out the other day that Eeyore is the sound the donkey makes, which is why he was called Eeyore! :o

But then I was about 38 years old before I realised that K9 from Dr Who was so called, as canine is another word for a dog :o
    :rotfl:

bit slow on the uptake me! :rotfl:

Hmm, a tiger with a soft inside :) Lovely idea.

ps just want to share. Realised last night, why we were getting late night door knocks and door knocking at all times of the day, with people holding a piece of paper with an address, that was nothing like mine, except for the number..... they were looking for the prostitutes that live at the end of the road  if you don't know the area, you won't realise the door to the flat is there. You can walk straight past it!

Had someone who didn't speak english door knock yesterday, very smartly dressed in a suit, looked shocked to see me and DS..... not surprised when I realised! :D He had a piece of paper with the address written on, badly, and at the end it said £70. That is when I clicked where he was looking for. Should have said it to him! I wrote the correct address down and sent him to Carphone Warehouse.... :rotfl: with the piece of paper..... :rotfl:

    Hi cp

Now when you say cocker spaniel, i think of springer spaniels, but these days i'm not sure of the difference, ( maybe its negligible ).

Anyway, soulful eyes, lively, full of energy, and a bit of a handful :rotfl:

Welcome to the club, cp :rotfl:
Ooh it's like you know me ;)

Cocker spaniels, I always think of Lady out of Lady & the Tramp - I think she was a Cocker. Not that I'm posh or owt. :p

I hate being called mate, especially in real life. Its so common. Snob. No theres just something about it, i don't like. Of course, everyone uses it nowadys. I don't.

Maybe my feelings of self worth are at a low, again. Another bank holiday, i'm working. Do i get paid extra? Do i heck? Double time? Triple time? An extra tenner? I should be so lucky. I've never been paid huge amounts for working bank holiday, but yes, an extra tenner would be good. Just a slight gesture of appreciation, whilst all those at the office are on their holidays, in their fancy cars. Stop moaning, iits another days pay, is'nt it? I worked yesterday for what was a joke? the pay for working on a sunday. I'm working on job next week, which i know i'll struggle with, and end up working far more hours than i'll be paid for. What difference does it make if its a bank holiday? Lets be honest. To me, none. Every day is the same. I don't have friends to go, places to visit, nor do i have the funds to do either. Every day is the same. Just go out to work, work. work. Why?

The magpie is around again this morning. I saw a pair of magpies, the other day. Its hopping up the roof. When i used to look out of of the window, i could see nothing but countryside. That was in the days before i was too frightened to open the curtains.
