Steve i keep hearing fireworks. Why? we dont have fireworks at Halloween? Am i missing something? (answer that kindly ok!!!)

    It's Diwali Kit.

It's actually not until 5 November but some people are celebrating today because of it being Fireworks Day on 5 November and more people being around on a Saturday.

In Wembley near where I live, they had a Diwali Fair.

No, I didn't go, as it would be far too busy and my DS doesn't like fireworks.

He has a problem with the shadows cast on our front door at night by the neighbour over the road's safety light. He thinks there is someone at the front door trying to get in, and he stands at the Living Room door saying "Mare, I scared! Mare, I scared!", don't ask me why he calls me mare. He sometimes calls me mummy or mum, but most of the time it is Mare.

He was very late to call me mummy. He didn't until he was about 2 years old, he used to call me everything but Mummy. He would call me by my first name and all sorts! :o
  • I have around 4 hours peace and quiet this morning as my sproglets are sleeping at their Grans house. I do love a bit peace and quiet.

You asked about my table Kit... an oak one :) and 6 leather chairs. All year thats taken to save for, all bloomin' year. 'tis out of bounds just now as needs treating first.

Clocks going back. Kit you're not the only one that gets confused, me too. It doesn't help when my phone but the time back automatically so I thought I was getting up at 5.30 for a littl while then.

Calling people 'love'. I hate it too. It's said a fair bit up here and although supposed to be a friendly term I find it demeaning because it's normally the older genereation saying it to me. I don't like it as I feel they're putting me down because of my younger age.

I didn't relise it was Divali aureol. I heard a lot of fireworks last night too but doubt it would be divali up here. The kids tend to get hold of them and unfortunately start messing around with bangers around this time and all the way leading up to Guy Fawkes night. It's annoying as I wish they would buy fireworks so I can neb at a freebie display oot me winda haha

Well time to get my head in my books, ironing then Halloween party prep. We're having a huge pan of broth with ham shank meat and apple crumble for afters, cheap and cheerful. Kits have sparklers and some decorated fairy cakes. be a couple of hours of fun for them. I'll put the pics on facebook later.

My boss called in yesterday, big bag of his apples hence the crumble (He brings me apples from his tree that is called my second name, a bit of a tradition and a daft laugh as i'm worth my weight in apples.. blah blah lol) Def going into school for half a day, becsause it's an infant school, reception class are going to have Lucy for me while I work. First jobs are to check over the SEN paperwork from the girl who does my job (shuuuuuuuush!) then i've to begin planning the backgrounds for the Christmas production.. then make them! Wahoooo, I love doing that :)

I'm pleased my name is out there, so whoever let slip or bothered enough to do some detective work :rotfl:, thank you. So much easier when I can talk freely.

Oh and Kit, PGCE. So pumped for it now. It's going to take so long though. Good news. As soon as the degree is finished I can tutor with the Open Uni. without the PGCE so at least I can earn a little money while doing it plus gaining a little experience of 'virtual' tutoring and marking.

Last thing, I don't know Nohope Kit, but have read his diary. When you speak to him send him my way, I know all about BR and repossession.. I'm still smiling. x

Have a good day, has been long I know. Will pop back later :)

Hooray. I know it will be a good day. Aureol want to know something really embarrassing? I am indian and i didn't know it was Diwali. Crumbs. soo embarrassed. Better ring my my mum and dad and wish them a happy one.

Delish sounds like it is going to be a fantastic day. Gosh, a party hey good fun. I must nip out and get some sweeties as the little children will pop round tonight. Do you know i dont mind being called 'love' now, it is a term of endearment, then i found it quite threatening. Doesn't take much for me does it?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Your plans for the future are so positive PGCE and the job. Stay focussed on that and your children. Everything will be fine I am certain. Things will get better. Christmas (sorry Susan) is so infectious i always get so caught up in it I forget about my worries. This will be a fantastic one i know.
