  • Need some comfort music. i didn't like this singer, then we went backstage at one of his concerts and they were so nice to us. Now i equate this song with comfort.

I have changed since I have moved here but I will never be English but on the other hand I have changed too much to be able to fit back what used to be home.

I am now more comfortable speaking English than my mother tongue but I am never going to be 100% fluent in English.

My shyness is quite often interpreted as rudness. Also I am not very expressive and that has been interpreted as not caring.

After I separated from ex three years ago and moved to Somerset people have been friendly but if I invited DD's friends and their mums for tea we never got invited back. I tried to arrange her some play dates for DD during the last week of the summer holiday and nobody replied to my messages. It is really hard not to take it personally. I am hoping that after I move now I can change this and actually get to be part of the community and have people just knocking on the door and come for a cuppa.

I hope you will feel more accepted too. We think you are great and you are accepted here anytime ok? Ps your written English is marvellous gosh, i must start checking my spelling and grammar, I feel ever so humbled.

Dont know going to check now. One thing i have done is lots of travelling on my own. I am not scared of airports, timezones and travellling. I love it. Has anyone read Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck. The introduction of that marvellous book was written for me. I will travel till the day i die. I love it.

Marru, that is so sad and so rude of the parents not to invite DD back  and nobody replying to your messages.

....hmmmm yes but is Europe ready for SW ?

I went for a few weeks around Europe back in the early 80`s.....slept in Koln railway station in the snow one night.:eek::eek:...the unpredicability of it was fab.

Everyone should do at least one `back pack` or a `road trip` in their lives I think.

Just to liven us up...anyone like Linkin Park?
