Don't be sorry SW as we say to others, you can post what you want on here - never feel sorry for the way you feel, as the way you feel is you - pure you - and we love you the way you are
I can equate with the 'not fitting in' part - I have been part of things in the past, with golf, etc, and was well respected, looked to for advice and help, etc, but I've not felt part of the 'it crowd'. It's al about self-doubt and how we perseve (sp) ourselves as others see usMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I have changed since I have moved here but I will never be English but on the other hand I have changed too much to be able to fit back what used to be home.
I am now more comfortable speaking English than my mother tongue but I am never going to be 100% fluent in English.
My shyness is quite often interpreted as rudness. Also I am not very expressive and that has been interpreted as not caring.
After I separated from ex three years ago and moved to Somerset people have been friendly but if I invited DD's friends and their mums for tea we never got invited back. I tried to arrange some play dates for DD during the last week of the summer holiday and nobody replied to my messages. It is really hard not to take it personally. I am hoping that after I move now I can change this and actually get to be part of the community and have people just knocking on the door and come for a cuppa."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

savingwannabe, sorry to but in, I normally just scan the posts.
I went to 4 football matches with DH. I didn't think I would enjoy it but you will be surprised!
I enjoyed the singing, the camaraderie (sp), the atmosphere. It was amazing. Ok, I have a DH who follows the Toon Army and when you see a sea of black and white shirts, it is pretty amazing!
Go, enjoy yourself and even if you don't, don't go again.
I try to do everything once, if I don't enjoy it, I tried it and can honestly say I have.
I went Snowboarding at Tamworth. Hated every minute of it, didn't enjoy it in the least bit, but I can honestly say, hand on heart, I haver tried snowboarding and didn't enjoy it. Better than saying I don't think I would like snowboarding, without having been.
I totally agree, when I spilt up with my girlfriend I looked at my life and thought I have not done anything, and I want to look back and not regret, so I went backpacking across europe and it was the best thing I have ever doneDFW#972 LBM2 (09/07/12) £25938.84; Current £23783.35;Credit Credit Card1 £128.47/£6424.24 (2%);Credit Card2 £443.86/£15663.25 (2.8%); Overdraft £0/£2500 (0%)0
