No message today but i forgot to text them too. I cannot imagine them texting me to do their ironing as i am always asking them to do mine!!

Ironing should be BANNED. Should we all sign a petition so noone ever has to iron again?????? Shall we organise a march? It is such a long time since i have campaigned for anything. We need to be like Ken Dodd or the ladies who wear purple.

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
with a red hat that doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
and satin candles, and say we’ve no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I am tired
and gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
and run my stick along the public railings
and make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick the flowers in other people’s gardens
and learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at a go
or only bread and pickles for a week
and hoard pens and pencils and beer nuts and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
and pay our rent and not swear in the street
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised

I cannot remember who taught us this, was it pixie or Jinny? i have forgotten.

I wear purple, it is my favourite colour, and I wear hats, some wierd hats (!!), so I am practicing

Jinny, who else, the other geordie voice of reason.It was 4 sites ago. I feel like i have been on a long journey and finally i have arrived at a destination that i might have to call home. I have just sent a PM to someone and wonder if they will reply. If they do it will be a home. And even if they dont, you are here so it will be too.

I am still mad. Nice, honest, kind, too trusting, but most certainly MAD with capital letters!!! I am so glad you are here 3Dogs, that's what Penny said to me tonight. The last thing she said to me was don't let me ever take you for granted. I wanted to say that to you Susan and Alan. Bless you both for being there. You are both such an inspiration.

I have met MoneyFritter tonight. Some amazing people on this site. And Firewalker, she is like you Susan. She exudes Goodness. We are safe now.

We are inspired by you too Kit - you show us that it actually easier to be happy than sad - and you can be happy by enjoying yourself and being MAD - you wear your heart on your sleeve and, yes, you are too trusting and open which leaves you open to disappointment, but you inspire us in a different way - I have said it before, many times, but your sense of fun and MADness is infectious and we are glad that we picked up that infection !!!! :j

Susan read MoneyFritters thread. Tonights posts on here and there have meant that something has changed. Can i use the term Orgasm in a non sexual way? I think the earth just MOVED!!!!!

And before we get all maudling about it all, I must get to bed - alarm is set for 6.30 am for Mr 3Dogs and 7 am for me, so we can get to the auction by 8.15 am - it does not start until 9.30 am, but the fair is in town, in the car park next to the auction, so there is a distinct lack of parking spaces at the moment :mad:

So night night SW - should speak to you beforehand, but just in case, I hope that you enjoy your time with Steve & Andy tomorrow - you can tell us all about it later on

And night night to FFC is you are around - you have been very quiet today - are you OK petal?
