I take it you mean my instalment Beanie - that's how we felt at the time - we thought about complaining but thought that the NHS had other things to spend it's money and time on - and to be honest, we were just a bit numbed by it all - there was no anger, just confusion

Oh my gosh. You posted your diary whilst i was replying and then i had a phonecall from Stevie and Andy who both say hi and we are meeting at 11 oclock in Gunwharf Portsmouth if there are any nice lurkers who fancy coming too. OH my gosh, 3 Dogs. You are a v good writer. Blooming good job i have met you and i know what happened to Mr 3Dogs or i wouldn't be able to sleep as i would be so concerned!!!
Worried Jim posted on his thread the other day about finding a photo he had kept of someone who had hurt him. He queried why he had kept it. I have stopped now but for a few weeks i have been analysing why some people picked on me. Hurt, pain, suffering, war, famine, pestilence (Robert Malthus said they were an essential part of life) why do we have it? Does it make us appreciate the good times more? Is it all just random or part of a plan? OOOh i am going to start quoting Steven Hawking so i had better shut up.
All i know is there are good days and there are bad days but the good days generally outweigh the bad. And through those bad times I have a knack of making the best friends. And my friends i would not swap for anything. It was worth going through those times to see how strong i am, how far i could push myself and to appreciate how selfless my genuine friends are. We are truly blessed. So glad you are here Mr and Mrs 3Dogs and all the nice posters and good lurkers on this thread.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Oh perhaps I should have put a warning on that instalment !!!! I'll add something after I post this (done it - don't worry folks)
SW you are right about good/bad times - if we had good things all the time, with no worries about anything, life really would have very little purpose. It is striving for something that gives us that purpose - be it the 'perfect' partner, good health, good job, money, friends, or whatever, and part of all that are the bad times and the wrong roads we take - that is what makes us the complex people we are. If everything was perfect and everyone was the same as the next person, we would lack something as a species - it is the satisfaction of overcoming setbacks that gives us our character
And you said you were rambling - I don't know if any of that makes sense - but it did to me as I wrote itMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
