Pretend it's the hymn sheet Sally
OH sulked last night after I told him about ex and house. As I tried to explain his reasons, he wouldn't look at me and kept walking away, busying himself, pretending to shine something on his shoes. I said as he was serious about doing it and the money is there, I could help him research for a property for sale with an existing tenant (I said this to try to gauge his reaction to buying another property). I was right - apparently there is 'no other', it was 'the one' - under market value, good place to buy etc. He also said any property had to have an income from day 1. I said if his Dad was financing it surely it being empty for the first month wouldn't matter and there had to be lots of property for sale around the UK with a tenant already there. He just repeated 'it has to have an income from the first month' which to me means he was going to up his own mortgage partly or borrow from the bank in some way just as I suspected - the money wasn't all there. He then got very tetchy so I let him sulk. No 'thankyou' for doing it, but I didn't expect one to be honest.
I woke him up around 1am off the sofa and his first words? 'I'm going to go round and see him'. I said 'well if you've got a permanent job for him, I'm sure he will stay'. I knew that is what he would eventually say (because I don't think he believes me) and I'm glad I played it as I did."Stay Wonky":D

What Christmas planner? Sounds a bit organised.
Just had coffee outside in the drizzle.
Better get a move on now.0 -
Morning all
BB - Your OH really is used to getting his own way isn't he! What a bully - to think he can just have what he wants because he wants it. I think he needs a short sharp visit from the smack fairy.
Sally - Is B settling in a bit better now?
Bookie - Hope your cold's on it's way out soon.
Carp nights sleep here too, went to bed early as I felt so naff but DH's snoring kept me awake most of the night (roll on his referal to the sleep clinic)
Met DD1's boyfriend yesterday for the first time, seems like a lovely boy and obviously adores DD1, so he's a keeper (for a while)

I know I shouldn't giggle Pooky but the thought of a smack fairy made me laugh.......
off to get Charlie in a minute. He's staying with me today as my ex is at Silverstone with a group of children on a day trip. He's really enjoying the work he has picked up with the school. It's a school for pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities and he has a school holiday contract to be an activity leader. He said he would help out with any other things going on and so he is with them today. Challenging work but he he enjoyed doing all the stuff over the summer holidays.
Lots of cuddles for me with Charlie"Stay Wonky":D

Morning everyone, been thinking loads about the challenge
I am also wanting to secure a career for myself in something I like and am good at but with the goal of earning enough for OH to give up the job he hates. To be honest he could leave now and we would manage (would have to) but OH wants the mortgage paid off first.
So I guess my definite goals are
Do everything and anything to get the most out of our current earnings and throw it at the mortgage. I am already doing this but could definitely do more.
Pass the pesky exam that I failed in June so that I have more credibility in my core subject making me more "secure"
Complete degree in core subject (rests on me passing above)
Raise my profile in the initial teacher training department (I will be doing 2 things this week to address this):)
Lots of other things regarding the boys too but I am already working towards those things. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Morning all.
DH and I have colds, which is really helping us get working on the car and packing for being away next weekend
