IPHONE 4 on the 3 Network Reviews

If you're worried about the reception you will get, try ordering a free PAYG SIM from Three (you can even get some cashback via TCB/quidco, so they will pay you for it).
You might be surprised, I thought after all the moaning about them that I wouldn't get any bars, but I actually get better reception than with my current O2, both at home and at work. Best to try it out yourself rather than relying on random internet punters.poppy100 -
I'm on the 3 network and tbh there great.:)
I decided to have a second line with Voda for the Iphone4 and they were really poor as i could not get a signal at home or work,so the phone was returned:(0 -
On 3 too.
When my signal dropped from 5 bars to 1 I complained and was given a reduction on my bill. Excellent service for the last 5 years.0 -
Also been hit by the Network Share and have the iPhone 4 on 3 - I used to get 2/3 bars of signal indoors and near enough full when you went outdoors.
Now, I have 1 bar of signal and the phone spends most of it's time on "No Service" the bumper has made no difference and is now the same outdoors.
For some reason it does not really like roaming onto Orange either so i'm stuck without a signal most times.
Downloaded the Truphone app as it's the only way to make phone calls and of course having to pay my monthly bill with 3 while I see if anything can be done.
The 3 Service as a general rule is great, i've not had any problems up to now. Just ensure you can get a signal and pray the network share is not going to remove a mast near you otherwise say goodbye and a long contract if you take one out!David
£1 of debt is too much for me!0 -
The one thing I really do hate about 3 though is you can't put a SIM Card into the phone first to see if you get a signal. As soon as you do this you can't return the phone.
I know some people have said try a PAYG SIM which is fine, but if you don't have a 3 phone already you are going to have to pay out for one.. Insert the SIM card you can't return it should the worse happen when you don't get a signal on the phone!
Could be an expensive experiment!David

You don't have to have a 3 phone. You just need a 3G-compatible phone, which is pretty much every phone sold in the last three years.coolesticeking wrote: »I know some people have said try a PAYG SIM which is fine, but if you don't have a 3 phone already you are going to have to pay out for one..poppy100
