I mostly use Wilko's own but now and again I treat myself to a sample tin of F&B :rotfl:
I like wilko's if I have big projects (or my walls) to do
I have a load of off cuts to make some more of my hooks again so the F&B will get used on themGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Have just started painting bedroom in fired earth - passionflower - a chalky white - looking good so far - and its covered the millionaire gold that we had underneath - sounds awful but it was ok - we had a grown up room (contradiction in terms when you look at hubby and I = two big kids)- silky burgundy bedding and a fancy paint finish cant rmember the name of the range and painted the coving millionaire gold but am going this time for shabby chic style with chalky white walls - will take piccie when finished . anyway as I started to say before I started to waffle - the paint is excellent!0

I thought I would jazz up my wooden seat I have outside so have painted it and I was recomended to wax it afterwards. Anyone know what I wax with and how I do it? I have a stick of beeswax and also some wax pellets (cant remember what they are-I used them for making cosmetics years ago) can I use these somehow or is it a special type of wax?0

Hi MrsBaggins I am not toooooo sure, but you could melt some of the wax down in a bain marie, then put into a wide pot (so it's not in raw chunks). Then you will have a flat was in a tin sort of thing, which you could rub a cloth in and apply - that might work? Saves buying new, I am just now sure if when melting you might need to thin it out with a tiny bit of oil maybe that would suit furniture so it's not as solid... maybe someone else here will know!

Have started painting my guest room, all ready for shabbying! Only did it six months ago but was horrid electric blue that DS chose. He moved out a month ago so it is now my official guest room. Going to do the second coat this morning as I've got a day off work. Need to iron the new bed linen, then am looking for curtains after work on Wednesday. Need two new pillows so will go to Dunelm Mill, might get a new light fitting too.
