No, nor me!! This year has gone by so quickly that mentally I'm still in August and so haven't got any of the stuff done that is normally done by now:p Was hoping for some inspiration from the talented folk on here - aah well, back to scouring the internet craft sites (it's a hard life but someone's got to do it ;))
  • Yes, I bought a small pink(!) sledge that I'm painting and distressing in red. I shall hang vintage skates off it.
The before shot is on my blog. The post before last. I'm totally gearing up for Christmas!

Well to reply to my own post, I've made small and medium felt hearts, salt-dough gingerbread men, stars and xmas trees, bead garlands (had a mad jewelry making fit during the summer, so loads of beads rattling around:p), wrappped old tired baubles in lace and made hanging baubles using the large left over beads.

I've had a lovely time, wish I'd started much earlier!! Will try to post some pics - if I can persuade my dd to help me:o

Oh that sounds great, well done! Yes do put pics up :)
  • I've just been looking at ideas to help me declutter and tart up my home on the Internet (hopefully we are going to only be here a year or more). I came across this website http://www.home-dzine.co.za/decor/decor-make-roman-blind.htm

So I started looking for cheap Roman blind making bits (I already have suitable fabric) and my search led me here of course. I'm not sure when I unsubscribed but I have been job hunting so it may have been then. But I had somehow forgotten about this brilliant thread where there is so much inspiration and advice. Have subscribed again, so hope you don't mind me lurking. Love all the Christmas ideas too.

I've also came across this fab basket instructable and also a lampshade one too. I really need to get motivated. Glad I found this thread again. (Btw, I got the job :))

I found a 3 panel folding screen in a skip and was welcome to take it - it was very dirty and by the time I'd scrubbed the canvas clean something needed to happen to it. So far it's had 2 coats of home made chalk paint, and I'm dithering what to do. Saw this screen on Amazon which is cute
