Anyone good at home decor as I need some advice.
My bedroom furniture is shabby chic and I am very pleased with the look although I can't claim to have painted it myself and instead had it done at a local place.
The problem I have is that my downstairs furniture is almost all Old Charm in medium oak. This includes dresser/table & chairs/settee etc. I can't have this painted because the other furniture is a long case clock, an Edwardian occassional table and another table and grandfather chair that has been handed down in the family and would be devalued if painted.
I intend to have the walls painted in Dulux Nutmeg White as its my favourite colour for walls but can't think what colour to have for carpet/curtains/recovering settee and chairs to make it look shabby chic. My ornaments are wooden boxes and jug/basin sets and I have a lot of old china/lace/doilies etc to accessorise if needed. Anyone up for giving me some ideas please.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0 -
saw this as a carpet colour, although I'd go for a deep red carpet and have hints of it in the furnishings. But not every one can love red!0

Thats nice. I like red but prefer purple and was considering having the settee covered in it. I have some patchwork throws I could dress it with.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Hi. Does anyone know how to add a blog link to your user profile?
I've managed to start one today and I'm thrilled to bits.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Looks like you've figured it out because I can see your link0 -
I think I've put a post one on instead of the actual page?
It was previously a link to
Pinterest on there but I had to remove it to add the blog instead.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
