I have 2 chairs that are painted with blue gloss paint - what it looks like anyway. I want to paint them with HM pale grey chalk paint. Help with preparation please.

What jumble jack says. Plus clean them first. :)

I found a crate in some fly tipped stuff by the beach today. Hubs has sanded it and put hinges on it for me. He's going off on a little holiday on his own so despite being horrified when I insisted on rescuing it, he's tarted it up ready for me to play with!

What an excellent find. It will look fab when you have cleaned it up.

I removed a few layers of varnish from a dresser and painted it cream. We use Crown Ultimate, it's a great matte finish and very durable. We have used it on all our dining room furniture. I will post some pics when I have (ahem) got the paint of a couple of the handles. I was going to paint them but changed my mind!
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

  • I love your stuff jumblejack! I was looking through your pinterest page the other day and love your decoupage door knobs so much I'm going to give it a go on our hideous chest of draws we were given by my father in law. I just need to be brave enough to do it!

I have a new project of my own. For ages I've been looking for a hall table narrow enough to fit in our hallway and a few weeks ago I found one in a local charity shop for £30. It's lovely but the wood is very dark (most of our furniture is oak or white) so now I'm thinking about what to do with it. Any ideas? :)
