it will depend on what kind of wood your dresser is made of and it's finish eg waxed or varnished - have you got a pic?

Dark oak, varnished. Old charm type style. Will put a pic up tomorrow if I can clear the unit.:rotfl::rotfl:

I have just finished my first project all be it very small, a little coffee table that was a nasty shiny manufactured mahogany, sugar soaped it down painted in hm chalk paint off white and waxed in briwax. Only thing is I havnt got the hang of the waxing yet and I can see where I have waxed, (went in little circles with a lint free cloth) anything I have done wrong?? i left wax on overnight to dry and gone over with clean cloth this morning but can still see little circles where I have rubbed wax in.

Hi does anyone know if you can decoupage with tissues?

my daughter wants the knobs on the draws i painted decoupaging with cath kidston but we couldn't find the napkins in the design we wanted so bought a packet of tissues instead just in case.

do you think it will work or not, should i just look on line for the napkins instead.

Not sure if printer paper is too thick for the job, but you could print off one of THESE

I have decoupaged very successfully with both Cath Kidston tissues, and napkins, and to be quite honest there really isn't any difference between them as far as I'm concerned. I have also printed images onto tissue paper (attached to printer paper with tape) and used this.

Do go ahead and give it a go, I was really pleased with the drawer knobs I did, I think you'll find them on my Pinterest boards somewhere.

Hope this helps, and good luck :)

Hi thanks the fabric she wants is called rose and in the bedding/ wallpaper I believe they call it antique rose its quite a big design but we couldn't find napkins so she picked up rose lattice which is a small design and probably better suited to cover knobs but just not sure if the two ranges will work together I will go and try and find your Pinterest board though

Beautiful. Your stuff looks wonderful and just the inspiration I need for the cedarwood blanket box that I don't like, but is "too useful/expensive" to throw out!
