I do it with one tester pot of emulsion and water measured in the empty can. Wilkos tester pots are £1 so it works out cheaper than spray paint. If you hate it you can go over it with spray?

Can you use an ordinary squirty bottle for paint to improvise for baskets??

I realise it would need to be VERY diluted to not clog.

I'm about embarrassed to ask as I've never spray painted before...

I wouldn't. I think it might be even messier than glooping it on with a brush. You'd be hitting a smaller area. Spray painting is fun! Just do it on grass on a windless day and build up thin layers so it doesn't run.

Hmm, I've just tried to use some leftover diluted emulsion on a wicker basket and it didn't take at all. The basket was too shiny so I'll have to leave it or spray it. I've not had that happen before. I've just washed it all off. :(

The charity shop mirror I bought. It was a dodgy bronze colour, now pink. Hoping to sell it as part of my 'double your money' challenge!

try adding some p of Paris - chalk paint seems to stick to everything. I've brushed ASCP on to wicker but not tried washing it.

I have having cream metro tiles in my kitchen. I have seen in a magazine these tiles in white with a grey grout. My kitchen man thinks that having a grey grout with my cream tiles would look awful. I am thinking - white grout doesn't stay clean + the brick effect stands out with a darker grout.
    What do you think please?
