I purchassed them from ebay Thursday & finished them the weekend.0

Mother used to have some lovely milk glass vases but over the years they got lost/broken so I'm going to make her some new ones.
Just get a glass/jar/bottle and pour in some emulsion and tip it round until the whole inside is covered. Stand upside down in/on something that won't matter if it gets painty until dried.
Thats tomorrow afternoon sorted at any rate.:j0 -

Sounds interesting, what do you do with them when the paint has dried?0 -

I saw on a blog - fresh flowers inside a painted vase but they had used a little florists container for the water, or I guess a smaller jar. I doubt emulsion would last long under water or be up to being cleaned. I like the shininess you keep when painting inside a vase, though some people spray the outside with an expensive gloss paint.0

ok spurred on by the painted baskets someone posted on her I knew I could do the same to a small unit in my daughters room.
Ive added a 3 inch fabric cuff to the existing cream linen to give them a new look.

they look lovely. :j
I hope you didn't make the same mess that I did - I'm still finding paint splatters high up in my kitchen0 -
Some lovely makes in here... Once the weather is a bit nicer I'll be doing up some pieces I have bought for that purpose so it's great to see what you've all been up to!Leaporlepor wrote: »Mother used to have some lovely milk glass vases but over the years they got lost/broken so I'm going to make her some new ones.

This is a fab idea, Leaporlepor. How do you make sure you get a nice top edge on the vase though, with no paint on the 'right' side?
Cheers,

Wiping with a soft, damp cloth. You need to do it a few times at first but as the paint drys it will stop pooling. Or maybe use some petrolium jelly to stop it sticking, if it works for light switches/skirting boards etc, then it would probably work on the glass.0
