Busy day today - I have primed the back door, windowsill and various bits and bobs, finished the mirror (pic to follow when it's up), finished some ikea drawers I was bought for my birthday back in November (i had primed them the week after I got them, but I've only just got round to finishing them!), decided on the new colour paint for the kitchen, repainted a peg rail and I'm settling down to an evening of cushion knitting...phew!

Drawers now:
I will do the other set of drawers tomorrow, I think, along with glossing the back door and painting the woodwork in the kitchen.
Still struggling with photo sizes on photobucket, might migrate to flickr or somewhere, when I get the chance!

Pollyskettle. That is lovely. I love the colours - I'm a great fan of muted colours in most shades. May I ask where you got the little tag holders for the fronts? I've faved a seller who does them on ebay but they are nearly £4 each and wondered if you had a cheaper source?
Am sitting playing with fabric and the small box I primed with the idea to make it into a box for the wall for pal to hang her earrings/necklaces etc in. Greys/blacks and whites to match her newly built en-suite. Still undecided how to do it and what to do it with. I hate having to make decisions!
Got serious power tool envy over at her place with the builder's chop saw - with that and a length of wood, the trugs I could make in minutes, wood stain them and straight up on Ebay! Will be sorting out some suitable wood from my stash and taking it over there on Friday for a play date *g*0 -

Hi love the drawers I have some like that which I painted ages ago but may add paper now I've seen yours
Did you use scrapbook paper also did you varnish them after you applied the paper0 -
This is what I've been up to
Needs borders, binding,wadding and quilting yet0 -
Thank you for the lovely comments, I can't believe it took me so long to get round to doing them! I will definitely finish the other one tomorrow.
These were the scrapbooking papers I used and these are the label holders. Don't let the fact that they are scrapbooking ones put you off - the sticky on the back of them is exceedingly strong and I couldn't move them even a little bit after about 20 seconds! They were available from a uk seller when I looked too but they were twice the price and it was a while ago!
I didn't varnish over the paper as such, but I did add two coats of matt mod podge over it just to strengthen it a bit."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

That's gorgeous hmo. I've made a few quilts, but only squares, never anything fancier! That's really lovely."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

Wow! That's stunning. I'm starting one but I've stuffed up on my square size and need 200 squares. Also it's a rag quilt. Has anyone here tried that? You pad it as you go but I will need a further 400 squares doing it that way. You make a sandwich of top, bottom and flannelette innner and it should end up like this:
So 600 squares to be cut! I should've done a bigger square! Doh!0 -

Wow....this is gorgeous......is there a tutorial for it?0 -
I've never done a rag quilt but I thought they were done like any other square pieced quilt except in stead of sewing the squares right sides together you sew then wrong sides together so the frayed edges are on the outside and then when you wash it it frays more to give you that ragged look.0
