I loves it *blush* I've always wanted a pretty dressing table but couldn't afford one, although this dressing table wasn't cheap at 44 plus paint/wax it's still a lot cheaper than the ones in the shop and I love the little drawers on the top and the fact it has a bit of history. I want to find a cheap chair now to paint and recover to go with it
I keep popping into my room to look at it lol0 -

I would be too - it's fab! And soooo much nicer now you painted it - not that you'll ever want to but expect it would go for at least twice what you paid for it on eBay now.0 -

Has anyone seen any cheap (fake) crystal knobs anywhere? Like this (need to be gold coloured base to match some on a built in wardrobe)
Anyway, so far so good...
Hi there,
I'm de-lurking specially to reply!
Anyway, not sure if they're exactly what you're looking for, but bombay duck do sell crystal knobs. They do different colours and sizes, so some big ones for actual doors, and other smaller ones for cupboards etc. They were reasonably priced when I bought them, and there is usually a free postage code floating about on this site somewhere. I bought 5 about 2yrs ago to go on a bureau which I'm yet to shabby......so they're still in the 'to do' list!

sets of knobs on Amazon, including Bombay Duck.

I saw the knobs on Amazon but there was only one review which said they were terrible quality, and I think the Bombay Duck ones were more expensive.
On checking the Homebase website I found that they sold a 6-pack of the knobs for £17.99, so I found them instore & bought them yesterday (I had a 10% off voucher too). Have just gone to put them on but the screws are too long. They're the ones where you can cut them shorter at various intervals so will get OH to do that, only problem being we don't have a saw so that's another thing I'll have to get (or find shorter screws).
I put the handles on to see how it looks though; pretty pleased with my first project!0 -
Well done! It's lovely! loving the knobs too!0
