I was wondering the same. :)I have seen some on ebay and i think they were around £1.80 per letter although not sure what size they are. Will have a look as on my watching list!;)If music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. If you go on ebay and just type in mdf letters there are 100's. The fella who made mine is Barry somebody. I have had these sitting around for months & months and only just got around to them today. Also if you are short of ideas on what to paint on them, google 'wall letters' and then select images. Again there are 100's of designs.0

I am going to paint my kitchen table and chairs but want to do the chairs each a different colour. How can i get round this without having to buy 4 different tins of paint?
Either buy matchpots or buy a tin of white and some cheap oil or acrylic artists paints (often in cheap shops made in China) depending on the variety of the paint in your tin. Use the tubes of artist paint to colour marg tubs (or whatever) of your white paint.
OOPS!!! Just seen Mrs Crafty's post!0 -
Well I've been bending some ears today! One a friend who has the most beautiful painted furniture and he has said if i use primer, emulsion then seal it that they'll be fine! So thats solved that. Then when in decorating shop was speaking to the guy there who also gave me loads of advice when another man (who i think i am now in love with:rotfl:) starting showing some pictures on his phone of his projects! They were amazing! And so easy! He even invited me round to go and have a look! He has used emulsion with sealant so as i have now decided he is god then thats good enough for me!!:rotfl: So i'll see what happens. If it goes wrong then I'll blame him!:)
Bought F&B 'Tallow' for my chest of drawers. Just cannot decide now what to do first!! xx
Did he say what sealant he uses over emulsion?0 -

Did he say what sealant he uses over emulsion?
Just a clear varnish- he told me he uses Ronseal silk as its got a slight sheen and is easier to keep clean. I'll let you know how it goes. Will be starting it in the next few days. Homebase do their own version which is more :money: !!If music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. gingababe have you tried looking on the 'local ebay bargain finder' ? Google it and it gives you the option of searching within 10, 25, 50 miles of your postcode for 'collection only' items. It's fab :jNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
