then to top it all the biggest spider you have ever seen shot out from under the tele , scared me to death, it was heading right for me  i whacked it with the remote control :D

You're better than me - I'd have screamed and got a sleeping H to get it :o

Am annoyed withmyself. I did take a list but DH came too and he doesn't exactly help.

I feel your pain. I love my husband but whenever he comes shopping we always end up getting more than what I put in the list :(

Mindee at nursery for the next hour so me and DD are watching a bit of Cbeebies as she had decided she didn't want to go for a nap  She keeps treating the sofa like a trampoline - I swear she won't make 3 if she carries on behaving the way she is at the mo ;)

Not much OS going on am afraid. Before mindee got here I was doing a bit of tidying up out in the garden. It's covered in acorns and twigs, stuff needs cutting back and I've got some containers to empty into compost bin. Weather isn't supposed to be very good at the weekend so can't see me getting much gardening done at this rate.

H is working late tonight but my mum (who's missing my DS - she's been so used to seeing him nearly every day) and dad are coming round for tea and to get a grandchild fix in ;) We're having salad, although I can't say I am in the mood for it.

Shysarah - I hope A&E can give you some suitable pain relief. My mum had gallbladder problems and her's ended up inflamed and had to have an emergency op on it  It had to be removed the old way rather than by keyhole as it was so inflamed. I hope that's not the case with you xxx

NPM - we had our first unofficial dance to Sunrise (Norah Jones) only it was performed by two of our friends, he was on electric piano and she sang. Not sure if that's any use to you. I quite Michael Buble - he's got a fantastic voice (and a wee bit easy on the eye ;)) Am racking my brains for other suggestions...........a friend had this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uc_rAX6z9Yc but can't say I particularly liked it :o
Will go look for some more ;)

Hugs and spoons for everyone. Have a good afternoon OS or not.

    Afternoon All

Shopping this morning and only spent £27 :D

It has been lovely Bright and Sunny, a bit chilly but I can deal with that especially as all the washing on the line was dry when we got back.

Jayward I hope you make a speedy recovery ((((((Hugs))))))

Jc Sorry to hear about your job - I like to think that every cloud has a silver lining and if you can get by on three days - you will have more time to be OS thus saving more money than you probably would have earned ish x

ShySarah (((((((((Hugs)))))))) gallstones can be agony x

NPM I know I am an oldie now - but we had this....

Not sure it will help NPM but we had Top of the World by the Carpenters back in Nov 1973, here, it was in the charts around then, the words worked then and still do today, ahhhh!!;)
My all time favour song is Wherever I Lay My Hat but only by Marvin Gaye, but that somehow didn't quite work :rotfl:here, but hate the Paul Young version.

  • DG I do love Karen Carpenters voice......funnily enough I was thinking of Top of the World because the words are so lovely but I am worried the guests might be :rotfl:at us dancing to it.:o It is annoying as the words are perfect.....may have to get it in somewhere.

Bitsy I do like that Robert Palmer song and am going to investigate the Robert plant/ Alison Krauss further

BB The words to the Percy sledge song are lovely but it is a little bit slow dancy for me;)

I am also looking for an Irish song to have before we arrive ( OHs dad is irish and I will be getting a very Irish surname;))
    am thinking of this

Hope Sarah has got herself sorted....putting my nurses head on, I hope you have been seen as you sound very poorly, maybe infected/ and or at risk of rupturing...can make you very ill so please see someone and dont wait till next week.

*Trundles in* Hello..... here I am.:rotfl:
Sorry to disappoint you NPM but we didn't have dancing at all. I was using a walking stick, and had a pronounced limp, even back then, and being on my feet at all was (as now) extremely painful, so we decided not to put me through that. ;)

I'm sending get-better-and-be-pain-free vibes to all the OSers who are poorly at the mo; Jayward, Shysarah, JackieO particularly come to mind.

Jellybaby well done on the card comp.:T

I had a nice surprise in the post today - a cheque for £50 from one of the survey companies. So that'll go some way to paying the buildings/contents insurance that is due very shortly (got the statement in the post yesterday).

Other than that, I'm plodding on as usual - washing all dry and safely stashed in the airing cupboard, pasta in cheese sauce planned for dins, and I'm hoping for a nice quiet evening... maybe even an early night!;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
