I should have spelled it the British way Vigour now that I am a citizen. I am in need of both vigour for vinegar and vigour for debt busting xx
Funnily enough I hadn't actually noticed that you had spelt it any differently. We only have Macs in the house, so we tend to find so many things are auto corrected to American Spellings that I don't tend to notice now!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

... I am listing like mad on fleabay, and have decided that the £100 I usually pay for a 3 month supply of contact lenses will have to fall off the spending and I must wear glasses for the next 3 months so that will go onto the tax bill as well.
You pay £100 for 3 months of lenses? Are they daily disposables? (I initially read it as £100 a month and had to stop myself asking first if they're gold plated :rotfl: )
Until recently I had a monthly contract with Specsavers for £13 a month (£39 for three months). This is for monthly disposable lenses and multipurpose solution, and regular lens checks. It comes by post every three months, with 3 pairs of lenses, 3 bottles of solution and a fresh lens container. I switched from dailies and I was worried I would miss the 'fresh lenses' feeling from putting in a new pair every day, but to be honest, by the end of the month, they're still fine. Actually for the last year or two, I've been trying to stretch out my month's wear to 5 or 6 weeks to try and build up a wee reserve, and I have, so I've cancelled my plan while things are tight. Your eyes soon tell you if you've pushed it one day too far!
I managed to get a really nice pair of glasses from Glasses Direct, using a Groupon deal (from the MSE weekly mail) and I actually prefer my glasses to my lenses now (they're fashionable, doncha know), so I only wear my lenses when I'm out on my scooter or doing anything remotely active.
I'm heading back to page 9 now to carry on catching up, but had to let you know about the contact lenses deal to save you from signing back up to your £100 a month one and throwing away £61 every three months! :eek:0 -
Page 13 and still catching up in my lunch break, but I have to do these two wee quotes cos the first one made me SNORT out loud... not just laugh but snort! Thankfully I'd finished eating by this point! :rotfl:ok so huge backside on the diet yesterday and today.
Backside?? Really? Backslide maybe?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Considering a gym membership for 4 months but may just try my Wii first.
We bought our Wii and Wii Fit purely for this reason, weighing up the cost of two gym memberships vs the likelihood we would use them, and decided that the fun factor of the Wii would also help. We both did a full 45 min workout religiously every day for the first three months, then I broke my coccyx in a skating incident and couldn't do any more, so it's been sitting there for nearly two years untouched, but I switched it on again last weekend and we're getting ready to get back to our routines. I would much rather do this at home than in a gym full of sweaty/posing strangers.0 -

daily disposables for astigmatism in both eyes! (Blast it!)
It's good for me to wear the glasses, I have 4 pair so I need to get my ££ out of them.
