Ummm... Hello?
It suddenly went a bit quiet in here!
I finally dragged myself back to the forum after an extended absence, and have spent the last three nights catching up on NL's diary since December (page 61!!!). That's quite a party y'all have been having (with a few blips on the way).
I've been dealing with a few pretty heavy personal, family and work things that I've shared with NL on PM but probably won't share here or on my diary as its just too much that could be personally identifying if friends or family stumbled across it.
Vague and very brief summary of the most current issue:
My job is about to end (not by choice), we're losing two thirds of our household income and I'm having to instigate Employment Tribunal proceedings against my employer of almost 8 years whilst battling depression.
NL has persuaded me to come out of hiding , so here I am, jumping back in, before I even update my own diary
I've missed you all, haven't met some of you before now :hello: and will try to be better at keeping in touch.0 -
Just going to post again and say that it has actually been a beautifully sunny day here and after my doc's appointment this morning, I treated myself to a (not very MSE or weight-friendly) bacon roll and cappuccino, then went wandering around the Scottish countryside on my scooter.
My doc recommended getting some exercise to lift my general mood, so from Monday, I'll be getting up with my OH when she heads to work, putting on my trainers, and heading on foot at a brisk pace for the village store, half a mile from our house. Not actually buying anything, of course! Must dig out my pedometer too, and go look at the YouTube of the walking lady NL posted. Might also switch on the Wii sometime through the week0 -

Actually, walking will start Tuesday as I'm going to court on Monday with my sister to get a judgement against her non-paying tenant for rent arrears. Thankfully, said tenant moved out on court appointed eviction date, saving some additional cost and hassle with Sheriffs Officers and my sister has somewhere to live finally.
NewLeaf, fancy joining me in a long-distance-shared walk on Tuesday morning? 9am I'll have my trainers on ready to briskly walk to the village. Are there any apps to track total miles? I might keep track on my sig as one of my goals.0 -
I'm here - i'm here - sending the magic hat.........................0

Oh Darling, put the MH on straight away - it contains love, support and strength from all your friends in the box. I know that when you feel rubbish you don't want to talk to us, that's okay, we will still pop in and let you know that we are thinking of you.
Is there anything specific that has made you so unhappy? I hope that THEY have not tipped you over the edge! We are so concerned for you. Just try to do a little post, just for us. Just a little one. You don't want me to organise a search party as we did for Robin and have us turn up unannounced and mob handed do you?0 -
