Hi Robin, we got the car last March and have 1,184 miles on it! So hardly ever.

Really? Then wouldn't it work out cheaper to hire one when you need it, or join one of the 'new'* car-sharing clubs? (*new as in since I last lived in London, lol).

From your sig it looks like a very nice car. Even once you've paid off the HP or whatever deal you've got, the balance would make a big dent in THEIR bill, wouldn't it?

 If it came to the choice for me; the car will only depreciate whilst Granny's gold is gaining value the longer you can hang onto it. I know what I'd get rid of first.. ;)

    LAM awesome, thanks for that!

Robin OH has to use the car sometimes for work as well. I will discuss with her over the w/e. But you are right it mostly sits there

Well if you can find a car-hire company who'll give you a decent rate for repeat/regular[?] business, and you and OH know when a car is required with however much notice the hire-firm needs..

Or maybe the car-sharing schemes would be better for you - worth a look at the figures, isn't it? :)

  • Yep agree with the car. It might be worth a thought. We have used Ent£rpr!se quite alot in the past and usually find even last minute that they can sort a rental car out if needed. Anything from tiny cars to posh ones !

Well done on the Audit, I Cant remember if I have already said that or not ! Fuzzled brain this week , think I am repeating myself alot !

Hope you are ok NL x

Happy Friday NL - I second the idea re hiring a car as opposed to owning one, particularly considering where you live. If I lived in London I doubt that I would drive at all - in fact I would refuse to even contemplate it - I would frankly rather run the length of Downing Street wearing nothing but the magic hat than get behind the wheel in London traffic! Is it worth speaking to your acct re 2 tax codes?

We don't use it to drive in London, we only use it to drive to our customer sites if we have meetings :)
