i went into london selfridges paul smith counter and asked for perfume, SA said story sample has ran out and gave me a sample on original one instead... i think it all depends on the SA.. if they are having a good day, they will give u one... and dont tell me they dont have any samples cuz there are always a drawful of stuff behind them!!
can someone please tell me if I can get a sample in LUSH?
i asked for one in MK shopping center, and they said due to their budget, they cant give any out. and i got a piece about a size of 10 pence in london the other day- is this what they normally give out? or do they normally offer a more generous size?
thanksssxxx0 -

freebiejunkie gave some helpful advice on this - see post #130 on this thread (thanks again, freebiejunkie!). I also found it useful to email the Lush mail order people before I went, to ask what they recommended (for my own personal skin type / product requirements etc - insert your own needs here). That way, I had a bit of paper to wave at the SA (who was lovely) - this always makes me feel more confident when asking for samples.
Thing is - their sampling policy really paid off with me. I felt so guilty / pleased at their helpful service and generous samples (got some nice chunks of soap) that I bought something else there and then...and now I want all their stuff (got my eye on the Christmas soaps already but I'm making myself wait until nearer Christmas)! Good for them - and bad for my bank balance.
Try a different branch, if you can. Maybe you were just unlucky.0 -

i always get samples in lush, say youve got sensitive skin and youd liek to try before you buy. (i do have ezema btw!) they usually cut off a slab that weights at approx. £1 worth. once i was having a beauty shower and teh one in mancehster gave me 22 of those.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -

a list of lushes ive had sucess at: (please add to!):
manchester (both)
trafford centre
leeds
liverpool
p.s. the new body shop christams soaps are lovely and at £3 for 100g a lot cheaper than lush and last longer than lush. also if you use your love your body card you can get 10% off and a stamper if you sepend over £10 and if you ask you can get about 4 little 5ml pots of anythign you liek in teh whole shopthats teh only problem with lush- no rewards for loyalty.

Taken from the latest issue of Glamour magazine (December 2006, price £2, Beyonce on the cover; got it on subscription, so it might not be in shops yet) - a very good Biotherm offer methinks:
-page 42 - you are invited to visit your nearest Biotherm counter for a consultation before 20th December 2006. You will be given samples, and – most importantly- you’ll pick up ‘a fab set of Biotherm make-up brushes exclusive to Glamour readers when you bring this page with you!' :j
*Consultation, samples and make-up brushes available before 20th December 2006, while stocks last
