Back to the OP, is it morally right or morally wrong to discriminate against marklv?0

they self define .. meaning they will tell you .. you do not have to worry about itUnless they can be classified, how can the person on £60k at the council know which department to refer them to.

Erm, there is another point to this.
Nearly £60K for a coordinator type role?

I don't think there's anything in marklv's OP to indicate that he dislikes or disapproves of LGBT people as such. Of course, it's entirely possible that he does - he seems to despise a lot of the people he doesn't want government to spend money on. But all he's actually said is that he thinks the council would be better spending its money on police than on these two jobs that other (more moderate and generally respected posters) have described as overpaid compliance roles.
You don't have to be anti a particular group to be anti spending money on promoting that group. I've come across initiatives to promote women that I've found patronising and have regarded as a waste of money. Clearly that doesn't mean I'm anti-women. I do know that discrimination happens and I do want to be protected against it, but I'm perfectly happy to share protection with other people - as somebody else has suggested, one equality person should be able to deal with women, minority faiths, LGBT etc; we don't need separate officials for each vulnerable group. (And no, my choice of Lydia as a pseudonym wasn't intended to deceive - I am female in RL too.)
ETA Since I have marklv on ignore I have only read his OP and not any of his other posts on this thread, so for all I know he may have made his views clearer.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
