Sorry, had meant to say that DWP said that they'd written both to me and my mortgage lender - but from what I've heard not many people seem to have received these notifications! And strange to say, am grateful to Northern Rock
(now NRAM for me)who let me know back in Sept. that the benefit was being ruduced - totally missed this in the budget and was not aware of it.

I have just learnt, that my mortgage interest has been cut by from 68.29 to 40.77 a week. My rate is fixed at 5.99%. I already had to find 175 a month towards it. I can't by anyway smaller as it's a wee box, as it is. My Income support has been reduced from 136.40 down to 127.10 every 2 weeks. And I learnt today that my DLA has been reduced from high rate care/low mobility to low/low, a drop of 52.45 a week, despite me copying word for word the claim form previously submitted.
Please help me, I have severe mental health issues and my house is my refuge. What can I do. I have already, lost my phone line, TV and internet, those where my only luxuries.
Many thanks in anticipation of your advice.0 -
Has anyone still not had official notification of their reduced smi payments from the dwp?
my october mortgage payment went out today and still no dwp letter, will have to phone them and my lender on monday.
Have you received a letter from the DWP yet? I still haven't heard anything! I phoned my lender on Friday as I knew that a payment would be made by the DWP to them around that time.
I asked them whether a payment had been made, which had been that day - it had been reduced but I think it will be less by next month as I don't think that it was the full reduction for the 4 weeks they paid.
My lender has not been informed of any reductions - they told me that they are never informed of any changes by the DWP.
I do think it is wrong that they haven't informed everyone who is affected by these changes by now. So I'm still waiting to see exactly where I stand and wonder when I will been notified by the DWP!0 -

Was this a reapplication as your award was coming to an end? If you disagree with their decision and you believe that you are still eligible for a higher rate, do write and tell them explaining why you disagree - it states in the letter that if you disagree with the decision you are able to do so within a month of the date on the letter. I did this earlier this year and I was successful.0 -

ETA: Woodbine, I'm still waiting on official notice of my payments being reduced. If it wasn't for these forums I'd be in for a right nasty shock when the statement comes in.0 -
