right you lot!
By now you should have refined your list and written your dreams and goals down as if you have achieved them already.

PUT A DEADLINE ON YOUR GOALS
On that note I am off to stick names in uniforms and get my baby ready for her first afternoon in school.

Slightly off topic but it appears I am being headhunted:eek:
Just got an email from a taining agency saying they are very interested in meeting me to talk over a new academy they are setting up. An ex colleague mentioned it last week but I took it with a pinch of salt, seems to be true.
Fisrt reactions..........I actually quite like where I am (even though I moan lots and get stressed to bits)
.........off to ponder things some more. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Morning all. Wooo Lou - very nice to be headhunted!
Tired today - really dull weather and just feel like going back to bed. Unfortunately I'm at work though, really not in the mood today.
Deadlines.. eek.. OK off to have a look!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi all.
Lou that's good. Not from a cattery with lots of ickle kittens then? Always good to be in demand.
So my list;
15 September 2010 I am in a supportive relationship
January 2011 I have a job in social housing
Sept 2012 I grow my own veg in my allotment
Sept 2013 I can play the drums almost as well as that gorilla
2015 I have bought my motorbike back
Sept 2022 I live in a house I built myself
I have a child - Not quite sure what to do with this one. Sure it's a dream but I am 43 and with someone who doesn't want a child and surely it has to be a dream of two people. Even 'accidently deliberately' getting pregnant would be difficult.

This is hard!
I am living a happy life with Mr S and one or two healthy happy kids (and the cat), in a nice house with a big garden, growing lots of fruit and veg. We have a few amazing holidays abroad every year - well, the house will I think have to be after I'm debt free, not sure exactly when I will have a clean enough credit record for mortgages etc. The kids, erm, probably a couple of years - I will say end of 2012/ early 2013 for this.
I have no debt - end of 2012
I work on a few different projects which I love and which pay enough for a comfortable life - I work partly from home and partly in an office with friendly colleagues - this is dependent on debt-free-ness and training and I suppose the life/ relationship/ kids situation. I'd like to say by 2015.
I have a PhD in Philosophy and some of my work includes writing about and teaching Philosophy - well, I had a plan to finish my degree by distance learning, and just looked to check how long the course takes - and the University I was looking at has merged with another one and the course seems to have disappeared! However, there is a different option which looks interesting.. anyway, to get to PhD stage, urgh, probably about 2020! (I'll be 40 )
I speak two or three languages well and some of my work involves translating - probably 2020 for this too.
I have some writing published - actually, for this one, I already have done, but just a few bits of poetry. Probably 2020 here also.
I can confidently speak to an audience of people about things I am passionate about - by the middle of next year.
I am fit and healthy, I run, swim and go hillwalking regularly - this is an ongoing process but I'd like to feel fit and healthy and be at my happy weight by the end of this year.
I sing and play music as a hobby. I have a nice singing voice, I play the flute again, and we have a gorgeous grand piano in the house - OK, I could take singing lessons (although whether they can work miracles I don't know!), I could quite easily pick up my flute again, the piano will have to wait for the big house! Lets say 2015 for all this lot.
I am happy, confident and content - ?????!!!!
Sorry I appear to have rambled on rather a lot there!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Wow Lou, exciting! And a boost even if you decide not to go for it.
Ok, the challenge:
1. I am a published author. Not really down to me so I'll say to finish my book and approach agents - March 2011.
2. I am debt free. - March 2011, hopefully sooner.
3. My dad understands and accepts that I am ill. - Not down to me but I'm doing all I can by telling him about appointments and stuff.
4. I am 11 stone. Hmm, given the amount I have to lose, to do it safely would take up till Jan 2012.
5. I have a gorgeous, intelligent, sexy, witty, kind boyfriend. Let's say 2015 (although I'm starting to doubt that there are any men with all those characteristics!)
6. I have a diagnosed immunological condition. Not down to me, the doctors want it as much as I do though so hopefully not long.
7. I have a 2:1 degree. 2013
8. I have an MA. 2020
9. I live in a tidy, clutter free, comfy calming home. December.
10. I have proper central heating. Not down to me, but hopefully asap!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Time to put my teacher training into practice (this is drummed into you in teacher training!!) and also what my book says about goal setting .

time orientated

I think you're right Ames. I'm definately doubting there is someone with all these criteria! My blokey fits most of them but not all, and he is the best man I've ever been out with.
