You paid £20 for a DVD player and expect it to last a lifetime?
If it is that important for your son's therapy I suggest you get a proper one next time.
I have to agree, £20 for a dvd player is not bad, I remember when they came out in the 90's and comet was selling them for £100's, although it is a shame that you didn't receive the excellent service from them that I have always had. Maybe you could drop them a line explaining why you feel let down by their service and see if they respond with anything helpful.0 -
I've returned a number of items that have failed in the past, and they have always refunded without a hitch. I once had a minor issue with a refund because of Paypal - not really Ebuyers fault. I still find them better and cheaper than Novatech every time.0

yeah that's what I do - I keep ordering from a store that sends products that break all the time...........‘It ain’t over 'til it's over’0 -
Did you have a point to make regarding Ebuyer?charlesworth82 wrote: »yeah that's what I do - I keep ordering from a store that sends products that break all the time...........0 -

charlesworth82 - Where is this shop you know which sells things which never break??0 -
I guess what I am most disappointed by is the lack of understanding and empathy shown by some posters.
The assumption seeming to be that I have not already done the reasonable things.
I used the enote system explaining how it was important for my son, ebuyer did not respond
I suspect they hoped as it was close to 12 months since purchase I would just give up.
I used it again and still nothing
therefore I was forced to ring them at our expense for a faulty product.
I dont expect everything to last forever but returning should not be so difficult again I suspect on purpose.
goater 78 by the way I didnt come on here looking for judgements, I assume because you have been judgemental you are in exactly our situation?
Until you have walked in our shoes I dont think anyone can know what this is like.
I dont have time for people to pi55 about
Our DS needs 24/7 care
we have had no support from social services, probably because were middle class.
so therefore I have had to give up work and we have to spend nearly £25,000 a year on the only therapy that may have any hope of teaching DS basic indpendence skills.
so Zenmaster I am disgusted that you assume I havent or dont do everything I can with limited income for my son, you really should be ashamed.
I knew ther ewas a reason I didnt come to this forum very much now and some of your comments epitomise this.0 -
I have never had a problem with them0

I use them a lot!! And have seen both sides from them, if you get the american call ctr then forget it, if you get the uk call ctr then there is a 50% chance the service will be good, the other 50% will be absolute rubbish service.
On the plus side, if you manage the get through to Armundo Sanchez who is the MD he is a very personable chap. But, it does take some doing actually getting put through to him!!!! His head of customer service (used to be a lady called Jemma) was not very good, so the apathy of the CS staff seems to start with her!0 -
Funny enough Ebuyer were announced in The Times’ Business supplement last week as the best electricals retailer in Britain. http://blog.ebuyer.com/2010/09/ebuyer-voted-britains-no-1-electricals-retailer/0
