Bought a dvd usb player 12 months ago for sons applied behavioural analysis therapy to play his films which act as majlor motivators for him to do his therapy.
broke down just 11 months into warranty
returned to ebuyer so they could (inspect) it? only after they had tried to get me to return it at my expense at the end of a 0871 phone call that took 13 minutes to speak to anyone
turns out it was faulty, and they put the item on back order, even though the page says it was out of stock and unlikely ever to come back in again!
eventually got them to admit this and they said they would refund immediately on the 02nd September
still no sign, I wonder if they deliberately hope people forget?
rang again
why do I have to take this time away from my severly disabled son, pay premium phone rates and wait and then get the surliest response ever because of their faulty product.
Never buying from them again and strongly advise everyone else not to do so.
And if you havent ever had a problem with them before, just keep praying you never do because they are bloody useless:mad:

Which bit was unlucky?
paying 0871 for their faulty product?
losing half an hour at at a time away from my disabled son because of their faulty product? and lies about a refund?
getting grumpy people answering the phone because they dont have enough phone staff?0 -

I have had to phone them on a couple of occassions as my bank blocked my card with them, so I had to place the order over the phone. Took 3 minutes for everything to be done.
They were very pleasant on the phone.
Their faulty product? They don't make the products and it worked for 11 months, hardly their fault abotu the product was it?0 -
The only time I have had to call is when I have had to clarify the fault, not to arrange the return. I've never been on the phone longer than a couple of minutes.
It is all done on the (free) e-note system. Not the best in the World granted but over the years I have returned several items and not had any significant problems (even when they return as NFF and we get into a squabble lol).0 -
Your all absolutely right of course
seeing as they are so good perhaps you could explain why they have now refunded me £ 16:74 for a £19.99 product0 -
Why dont you log into your ebuyer account and use the enote feature to show them they charged you more and have not refunded the full price?
Maybe they issued a partial refun as you have had 11 months use out of it?0 -
I've never had any trouble with ebuyer, they've always been great. I think they are one of the better companies. Plus very reasonably priced (as you've found out yourself only spending £19.99 on a USB DVD player)
To be honest just based on these replies you appear to be quite aggressive and snappy so if you spoke to the Ebuyer customer service rep the same way as you have responded to some people on here. I am not suprised they were a bit off with you. Still you've got most of your money back and I am sure they will refund the restThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. You paid £20 for a DVD player and expect it to last a lifetime?
If it is that important for your son's therapy I suggest you get a proper one next time.0 -
I see there's still loads of supportive people on these forums. Kinda makes life seem good.0
