It is a PC thing. Expressing your opinion is now no longer acceptable, it seems. Welcome to Stalinist Britain, where everyone needs to have a fixed smile on his face and promote multiculturalism. I'm just glad that some people, like that German cardinal, can see through all the cr*p. He was quite right to state that Britain is a 'third world country'.

    I think the comment was:
"When you land at Heathrow you think at times you have landed in a Third World country."

A bit different from your comment don't you think?

Not much different. The point is that Britain is unrecognisable from the country of 1945. The British, as a people, are rapidly disappearing, and this is happening quietly and without fuss. Of all the nations in Europe which are heavily multicultural, Britain is the only one where there isn't an open debate about the issue, and this is why this is a subject that really needs to be addressed. There is more to politics than taxes and budget cuts.

    Actually a lot of difference.

Depending what time you turn up at the airport and what terminal you go through you will find the make up of the people in that terminal changes.

There wasn't a lot of air travel during 1945 and Britain was still raping other countries for their resources after using some of their manpower to fight the 2nd World war.

do you mean the british or do you mean anglo-saxons or something? because afaik there are plenty of british people in this country. anyone with british citizenship is british.

i'm not sure exactly what you think is disappearing because even if there hadn't been any immigration i'm pretty sure we wouldn't all be living like people did in 1945. although i wouldn't be here...and nor would my OH.

then again if brits / europeans hadn't emigrated to india my mum's family wouldn't exist either.

I rather suspect such an outcome is exactly what marklv would like.

    Yes, that's perfectly acceptable.

Intelligence isn't allowed though, so you better pack your bags.

Marklv, you're ok. You can stick around. You qualify on that account at least.

Are you sure you're in the right country? You seem to have a strange fondness for outspoken German men in attractive uniforms.
