1 old Smartphone sold. Pity the ebayer who purchased it has yet to cough-up. Have had to open a non-paying bidder dispute. Hopefully they will get the message and pay.

After 1 week's use, I can safely say the new addition to the fleet works a treat.
Just need another 'free listing day' on fleebay to list some stuff I purchased to sell-on.

  • Onwards and upwards. I am having an awful time with non paying bidders.

Will sell those old phones though.

Have now listed both mine & my dad's cars on ebay twice and no takers. Listed them on Gumtree & got 1 person who took my car for a test drive & gave it the full works. Spotted loads of stuff wrong that I hadn't, and offered a paultry £400. I told no thanks.

Have now got my date in Court to recover a large amount of the vehicle's costs from the dealer I bought it from. Only got to go pay another £165 to HMCS so will pop into the Court on Friday (do hope I get all the costs back from the defendant when I win as the total cost will be near £300 (and that is without the independent examination I now need to book).

Contemplating buying the parts I need to fix the car 2nd-hand (discovered a fuel pump for £140 on ebay & now find I need 2 new front headlight brackets (or full units if brackets are not available as separate items)). Aiming to get car done for under £600. Get it MOT'ed then sell it with 6 months Tax for £1500. If this works as I hope, then I should make back more than the car cost me in the first place with what I get from the dealer via Court.

Been busy on the job front today. Got 7 applications in this evening. Am in need of a permanent contract job and soon.

  • Good luck with the job applications. And with selling the cars.

Court date set for end of August. Sitting here updating this after a drink with a couple of old friends, one of which I haven't seen in a year. Flat is nice & quiet as O/H & DS are in London watching Robbie Williams.

I have just realized what a sad old fart I am. have been looking through my collection of TAPES :-( now that takes me back. Need to get some listed on ebid to clear some space.

Job interview went well today. Although it turns-out the job is a 6-week job, so will have to keep looking

NHS :shape up' course has been cancelled, so will get a lie in tomorrow.

Thanks to my son, I have discovered Tesco has a green Clubcard points can recycling facility in Colchester. I now have a cunning plan to collect as many cans as I can, swap them for points, buy sellable items & then sell the items and use the cash to pay down credit cards and mortgage.
I will beat my debts one way or another.

    Jobs for the week

    1. Send back Tax from Zafira so as to avoid fine from DVLA
    2. Relist car as now sick of the sight of it
    3. List tapes on ebid
    4. Contact ACE re:- Shape Up course.
    5. Contact Court Mediation Service to see if I can resolve the claim without having to cough-up another £165 to progress the case to it's final conclusion.
    6. Take cans to Tesco for green points.

Tesco automated recycling machine was not working, so was unable to recycle my cans.

Phone sold 2nd time out on ebay (first buyer was a non-payer). That's £23 in the kitty. Just got to hope this buyer actually pays.

Boogger, just when I thought things were starting to look up, the Co-Op has sent me an email stating they have 'reviewed my DD' and have doubled it. I now have the hassle of phoning them to reset it back to a sensible level.

What I really need now is for a nice long hot summer and autum followed by a mild winter in order to save on my energy bills.

Finally had enough of my TV dinner table. The top bar has a habit of popping-out of the leg. Have now repaired the thing properly & stripped & stained the top. Just 2 coats of varnish to go on & the legs to strip and stain & one old table looking good as new.

It's nice to fix something rather than chuck it out & replace it with new. Cost to do the job was nothing as the materials were left over from doing my front door last year.
