Cashed-out £14 from TCB this evening. Just leaves the £50.50 from Sky to validate ready for claiming.
Talking of Sky, had an email today with an M&S £25 voucher. Just need some ink so I can print it out.

Called-in to see the dealer I bought my car from and he has agreed with the guy he sold the car for to give me £200 to get the vehicle inspected at a Vauxhall main dealer before he makes up his mind as to whether it is cheaper to refund or repair.

Actually turned-down the chance to go to a beer festival with my son. Have decided instead to invest some cash in buying some red currant & black currant bushes from my local Aldi. For once, they look quite healthy. Just need some 18 inch containers to plant them in, but should find these on feebay.

Sitting here watching the snow blowing-around and cursing. I need to get out in the garden and weed around the strawberries & put down some straw (or even shredded paper) to protect any fruit as it grows.
Was also planning to have a go at preparing the flaking paint in the microwave oven ready to re-paint it prior to selling it to recoup some of the money I had to pay out for a replacement (my spouse is of the opinion that nothing should be repaired, despite the fact she doesn't work).
Apart from the flaky paint, the microwave works perfectly.

Car is booked-in for diagnostics at a main dealer near where I work, so just need to pick up the cash from the dealer I bought the car from, then drop the car off after work.

Logged on to my Hubpages account tonight and found I'd passed the 10,000 views mark. This is mainly due to over 7,500 people having viewed my hub on PPCs. However, it was nice to finally reach that target. Now for the 25,000 views mark.

Speaking of Hubpages, my earnings are starting to increase on a month-by-month basis & from $0.03 p/m 2 years ago, I am passed the $5.50 p/m mark. Just the ssort of encouragement I need to create new hubs and update my existing ones.

Also had a trawl through some other people's hubs and came across one by a poster going by the name of 'Paraglider' about making cider from apple juice. He also has another hub on making wine from grape juice as well, but did not have time to read that one. Thought it was very apt considering the accumulator placed on cider, wine & spirits by the Coalition Govt.
I reckon you can easily make a gallon of drinkable cider for the cost of 1 pint in the pub & all Tax-free as well.
Have added a mention in my 'scrimpers' hub I was that impressed.

    Jobs for the week -

    1. Prep & paint the old microwave (if it stops snowing long-enough as it will be worked-on it the back of my van).
    2. Shred some old paper ready to use as mulch under my strawberries
    3. Chase-up insurers re laptop claim
    4. Charge-up old car battery that is in the back of the van

No 'JFTW' completed due to the fact that I have not been feeling well. Struggled to the end of the week & now have 4 days to recover. Was meant to be on a Cub sleepover tonight, but my sneezing & coughing would only keep them awake.

    Jobs for the week -
    1. Try to complete all outstanding from last week
    2. Transplant strawberry plants to make room for new red currant & black currant bushes.

As I lay in bed yesterday coughing & sneezing, I wondered what was so 'good' about 'Good Friday'.

After all, I can't think of anything 'good' about fixing someone to a cross & leaving them to bake to death in the desert sun.
I'm sure Jesus didn't say "make sure those nails are in properly lads, I don't want to feel like a big tit by falling off this cross & face-planted the desert below". I would also hazard a guess that he didn't make comments such as "What a superb day to die" or, "look, you can see my house from up here. The view is amazing".

As for the JFTW, I have at least, got the battery on charge.

After 5 weeks, I can report that my cough has finally reached it's last few days. I have only coughed a couple of times today. On the downside, MrsP's coughing has come back.

As I am writing this, I have 1 tab open playing videos to top-up my SambaMobile dongle & another open playing videos to earn money from Gift Hunter Club. Might 'push the envelope' and go for a tab for Swagbucks as well. Thank goodness for 22M/b unlimited B/B.

    Update
The car has taken another turn. Mr. Robin King of 'Stanway Garage Motor Co. Ltd' never came-up with the promised cash to get the car looked-at by a main dealer, so yesterday I paid for an indie to price-up the cost of repairs & then sent Mr. King a 'Notice Before Action'. He now has 14 days to either repair or refund or end up in Court.
Damn, it feels good to take the bull by the horns & go for the jugular.

You would think the one thing Royal Mail would be able to do without much hassle is to operate a proper T&T system for letters & parcels wouldn't you ?.
Having sent a letter via 1st Class Recorded Delivery last Friday, I would expect it to show-up on the system as either 'received' or 'refused acceptance by receiver' or indeed, something else. But no, not a thing.
If DHL, TNT & even Yodel can show you where your item is from the moment it is collected from you to the moment it is delivered, how come Royal Mail cannot ?.

Right, have taken the final step to get even with the scumbag who sold me a dodgy motor. Have just issued proceedings against him through 'MCOL'. It was dead easy.

On the job front, I am now on holiday for a week & have a job trial lined-up through another Agency for Tuesday. If all goes well, I won't be going back to Sudbury to work any more.
