Spent today restoring an HP TM2 back to factory settings, then after 2 reboots, the touchpad stopped working. Having researched it, it is a known issue, so I should be able to extract a free repair from HP. Will talk to them tomorrow if I get the chance.
Did my good deed for the year. My nieghbour came-a-knocking to see if I knew how to jump-start a car as she had left her interior light on and flattened the battery. Only took 10 minutes to get her going (and about 5 to get the car started!!!!!!).Never Knowingly Understood.

Had a 10 minute phone call with HP Technical Support regarding the failure of the Clickpad on my HP Touchsmart TM2 series 1000 netbook.
Apparrentley, despite a large number of people having had the same fault occur (but not as many as have had fan-failure on their TM2's), the response by HP was "Just because a number of users of our (HP's) community forum have reported an issue, does not me HP intend to trat it as a problem".
Right, so you pay £700+ for a notebook, 16 months later, the fan dies (I was one of the lucky ones who's TM2 survived) followed a week later (after new fan fitted) by the Clickpad.
HP's aftersales is shocking to say the least.
What an attitude for a major company to have, Bury your head in the sand and hope the complainers will all go away.
Have contacted Watchdog and await their response.Never Knowingly Understood.

Discovered today that I have piles. Have been given some suppositories. I don't mind sticking a pill up my ar5e, but it was bl00dy difficult trying to swill it down with a glass of water.
I tried bending-over, laying on my back, standing on my head and even tried using a funnel, but the water ran everywhere.
On the plus side, I have at least now posted the PS3, it went via Collect+ yesterday.Never Knowingly Understood.

Having not been told anything about my job, I took the step of emailing the plant MD today. His response was that they are sorting-out my contract so I will have a job after Christmas after all.
That really is a weight off my mind.

Completed Xmas shopping. finished. Spent most of last Saturday shopping for pressies. On the plus side, the spreadsheet is completed and it works a treat.
Mrs P. has now finished work and they have paid all her holiday pay as well (damn, I was looking-forward to an argument with her ex-boss).
Her (now former) workmates bought her a really nice jumper for a leaving gift.
Had some good news to start the week. All agency workers contracts are to be 'open-ended' so no more worrying about if I will get another extension or not.
We decided to give Aldi a try for our shopping and it was miles cheaper than even ASDA. They sell some odd stuff though. Picked-up some of those granules that go in dehumidifiers, I found a lot of info on making your own one on the net so will be building-one (will be posting a how-to with photos at some stage as well.
only 2Lbs to go to reach my target of dropping to 15St by the end of the year.
I really need to get to grips with my spending. Thanks to my B/S's new website, I now know I am spending more each month than I am saving (hence the MPG calculator spreadsheet (which also does 'cost per mile' as well)
The guy with the clothes shop is losing interest in the online aspect of retail, I need to concentrate his mind by sending him my bill. 175 hours @ £15 p/hr should do it.Never Knowingly Understood.

Now finished until the New Year.
Target for the next week is to complete as many surveys as I can and cash-out either via Nectar or Paypal.
I need to raise some funds real quick, so Paypal is looking good, but need to find-out how much 1,500 nectar points are worth to see if that would be a more viable option as these can be spent in loads of places.Never Knowingly Understood.

Nice Christmas, my ar5e.
Son was argumentative.
Mum wound me up by keeping on that there are 'plenty of nibbles and drinks in the cabinet', this despite me telling her I'm on a diet.
Checked my bank account and updated my YNAB. In doing so, discovered that Atlantic have upped my monthly DD by £58 I fired-off an email withdrawing my consent for them to raise it by so much. They reckon I owe £492, so I submitted a set of readings and this dropped to £470, so that's £22 saved there then. Considering the amount owed does not take into account the £240 they have collected since the last bill, I really owe them £230.
I intend to argue this fact with them over the next week.
On the Plus-side, got round to making my 'dehumidifier' using a 2Ltr drinks bottle, a flower pot and a dust mask from Poundland (you get 5 masks for a quid). Have stood it in the corner of the bedroom windowsill and so far, so good. No condensation on the windows for 3 days.
Just got to fathom out how to make a spill-proof one for the van.Never Knowingly Understood.

Right, have now commenced 'communications' with SSE regarding my outstanding electric bill. They reckon I owe them £470. However, this does not take into account the fact that since the last bill I have had 2 DD's totaling £218 taken.
Using their bills to provide an average 'per-week' cost, I worked-out that without increasing my monthly DD, I will clear the back-log in just over a year (based on the fact that my usage has almost halved since August.
I will keep everyone posted about their response.
Had a 'lads night out' last night, well, actually, it was a night of Tea, biscuits and DVD's round a mate's house. This wasn't planned, but I phoned another mate to find something out and he was round the otherone's house so the nights was planned there and then.
Movie was 'Planet of the Apes'. I will give it 8/10.
Today I actually got around to registering with a more local GP surgery. This is only 1.5 miles from my house as opposed to 7 for my old one. This will save me a fair bit in fuel costs.
My F-in_l's car went for slightly less than he wanted, but at least it is now sold. Just got to wait for the buyer to arrange to collect and pay and it will be gone from my drive.
Just leaves all my OH's clothes she is to thin to wear to list along with some expensive perfume.
Have yet to set-up my Xmas present. Will do this after DS has gone back to his.Never Knowingly Understood.
