insurance question, football damaged my bonnet

My car was hit by a stray football from a football match last Saturday which resulted in a small dent on my bonnet. The football club is requesting me to write a letter to the club and to notify them of the date and time when the incident occurred, the club has a public liability insurance which I presume are going to pay…

I am still pursuing the club for the repair work so hopefully the "volenti non fit injuria" will not apply. I will update when I have news.
