I was going to suggest avast, was that installed when you were infected?

registry booster/mcafee security scanner isn't much use.

yes never had any problems before been using it couple of yrs now

it may be because it isn't classed as an infection, (comes preloaded on some machines) just an annoyance.

not sure what caused the dll problem, the one in the internet explorer folder takes precedence over the one in c:\windows\system32 when you run IE, so having a dubious version in that folder caused IE to stop working.

your homepage etc are all set to shareware-en.com
