Hi all
I ran a malwarebytes scan on my sisters laptop, when it finished i removed all that was found. Now internet explorer wont open and comes up with MSIMG32.dll error.Have googled it and tried a few downloads but are asked to purchase after the free scan.
Can anyone recommend a solution that is totally free.Have tried to uninstall it ,and tried to download a newer version but says i already have a higher version than i am trying to download.(ie8).Explain as simple as possible please. Many thanks in advance for your help.

hi have tried what you suggested and it does not open0 -
You need to put your windows install disc in the drive .
try RUN ... type CMD at black box prompt > type in sfc/scannow hit enter should now run .

Are you an administrator on the PC? You may need to be an administrator to run sfc /scannow which may be why it failed. If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0
