How do I find my car keys? - SOLVED - see post 31
The OH has gone and lost the car keys :mad::mad:
They are somewhere in the house or the garden. We looked for over 2 hours earlier today. They have a central locking fob and some sort of RFID chip (which is my Gas account access tag).
I'm looking for a miracle here
I have a single - non central locking spare - and no spare Gas account tag so I have 3 days of gas left to find the keys

firstly have they been anywhere near the bins? if so check them before they get emptied. then check all the other unusual places like the fridge, microwave, cooker.
i guarantee they will be in the last place you look.:p...work permit granted!0 -
The quickest way is to buy a new set. Then the old ones will turn up.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

I agree with goldspanners, look in the unusual places. I lost a piece of jewellery and it turned up in the fridge salad drawer.0

Pockets on clothes may have been changed?0

Stop looking for them, then they will suddenly re-appear.
Theoretically, the RFID chip should be traceable. Isn't that what they're used for?
For the future, and if they get lost outside the house, here's an idea. Buy one of those aluminium tube pet ID tag things. Write your mobile telephone number (NOT your address!) on the slip of paper. Put it on the keyring. The "ex-wife-to-be" left her keys in a local Post Office, and they rang her before she realised she'd lost them. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Underneath the car where they fell out and bounced off the car door and landed underneath.
This is what happened to an old mobile phone of mine - searched high and low in the house then gave up, went out and came back to find mobile in the driveway - sadly it had landed under the car where the tyre was destined to drive over it.:o
p.s. OP if you're hunting in the garden I hope you're both wearing pants round there!!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
