I do find Tesco are always on time and always have most things in stock. I also find they are the easiest to book a slot with and nearly always have an available slot the next day which obviously depends on the area in which you live but is useful if you are lucky.

If it's Morrisons you would like this should make you smile....

    wow!! Thanks!! About time Morrisons!!

I will try Tescos, thanks Dollparts :)

I still have not received my refund from ASDA, it's been almost SIX WEEKS!

I keep ringing to complain but they just keep fobbing me off saying it's a technical problem...

I'm furious and disgusted with ASDA.

PS I just rang the Customer Service Centre... again... and 'Duane' said he/they are in Cape Town... South flippin Africa!! ... I asked him... " do you have an ASDA there? " ... he replied " er... NO! "

I now have a throbbing headache....

  • Hi

I have used ASDA delivery service quite a lot, spent a LOT of money. Occasionally there are minor mistakes. The last time I had a delivery was Friday 13th August - I wish I hadn't had bothered!! Quite a few items were 'short-dated', meaning I would need to eat them within 2 days, also meaning that my budgeting for the week had gone out the window! ...So I rang the helpline who said the manager would ring me later... no call... I rang on the Sunday to say I had no call and they said the manager would ring me... no call ... I rang the Monday... still no callback... eventually someone at the store rang me on the Thursday to say I would be receiving replacement goods and a refund. The replacements arrived that evening... but the refund... I am still waiting for.. apparently there is a 'technical fault' with my refund... then when I rang AGAIN (ASDA House this time, to complain again) the guy on the phone was a lot more knowledgeable and informed me that this 'technical problem' is affecting ALL REFUNDS since at least 19th AUGUST and beyond... So I hope nobody else needs a refund!! GRRRRRR!!!!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Where can I get my shopping now? I have no car :(

Used to use Asda regularly until last Christmas when 2 days before Christmas they refused to deliver all my christmas order as the roads were too bad. There was nothing wrong with the roads around my home and they hadnt even attempted to come out. I then had to go out christmas eve to get all my veg for christmas day. I was not impressed and have not used them since. Try Tesco they have never let me down and have excellent dates on deliverys plus you can earn clubcard points!

and to a quick update.....Well, I rang Asda CS on an 0500 number and got thriugh to a really nice man who was very understanding of my problem with the delivery. He took all my details and said he would be sending me a voucher in the post for my trouble and to cover the cost of the 7 calls I have had to make to that retched 0844 number.

He was very good and although he couldn't wave a magic wand he did make me feel a lot better just by acknowledging my frustration and not just offering hollow excuses like the South Africa call centre.

Sure enough 2 days later I received a gift card for £15 so whilst I will be not shop online with them again as it was too much hassle and time wasted, I at least appreciated the attempt at service recovery and £15 will do nicely off my next shop

However.....I am still waiting for the refund of the stuff that never turned up, They suppose it was processed 15 Sept so I should have had it in my account by now, need to follow up tomorrow and see what they say....

  • ASDA has let me down sooo many times I only use them if the offers are outstanding. If there is anything to give back to the driver, I don’t. Their refund policy is not reliable. I too have had prolonged discussions with the local depot – Watford – and no results. Lovely conversations with people in SA but no refunds! I gave up chasing in the end.
TESCO now offer 1 hour slots and SAINSBURYS give a £10 voucher if they deliver later than their one hour slot. Both are reliable and courteous too. OCADO can be a little abrupt, but they do deliver on time and their refund system is very good.
On another subject, does anyone find the comparisons in MYSUPERMARKET a little disingenuous? When they compare prices within different supermarkets I find organic fruit, rather than standard, appear for example when I switch. Or cheap frozen own-brand chicken breast fillets are replaced by expensive branded ones. So the comparisons are not like for like.
  • i know when i ordered my Wii with my shopping from asda they delivered the shopping but no wii, and it was the real reason I did it. I would recommend e-mailing them too, I have done it to Tesco and Asda for usually short lifed food and had my refunds usually within the 7-10 days (which always gets me as it doesn't take them that long to take the money!)
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:
