ASDA online delivery !!!! up

So to a quick update.....well the two hour slot for the redelivery came and went and so I rang the store again. In the nicest way I just couldn't bear to ring the homeshopping helpline again, they just have no concept of the point I was trying to make, I supposed being based in Cape Town, SA they are completely removed from home shopping nightmares on a wet Monday afternoon in London!
Anyway, I rang back and asked for a duty manager, told him the sorry story and he said he would get the elusive William to call me back.....which he FINALLY did!
He said whomever was responsible for picking my order should have informed the driver that he had a window in which to get the delivery to me which is outside of his scheduled route. Unfortunately for me, the picker had failed to do this. Ok, now I really am losing the will to live.
I asked him where my shopping was and when the hell would I be getting it to which he replied 'well you won't be now I'm afraid because the driver is not in your area, I will just have to give you a refund'. A refund? No shopping, just a refund and that's that? Yes, Mrs Dollparts, the driver is not in your area.
He then, incredibly, went on to ask me what the value of the items were missing. I have to admit for a fleeting second I was torn between giving him the accurate amount of £59 and thinking of a random number and doubling it! Not because I am dishonest, but just to see whether he would actually be bothered to confirm I was telling the truth and check my order details!
So that was that, he will process a refund (I will be watching my bank account like a hawk) and that's that. No care as to whether I would ever shop there again, no hint of any service recovery, no apology. Nada.
Fuming still and incredibly frustrated, I look up the head office number which strangely enough is not anywhere to be seen on the website. I get through to someone and pour my frustrated heart out.
He took all my details and said he would be in touch within 24 hours after looking into the matter and in the meantime would send me some vouchers to make up for the awful experience and hopefully it would go some way to offering some kind of recompense. That's all I wanted all along-just someone to understand how frustrated I must be and say sorry! There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -
If you don't want mistakes in your shopping, go to the shops in the old fashioned way.!! Like what i do.
Like what you do? If I want to pay for a service and dare to dream it will be adequate then I will thanks very much. There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -

I was told that the Home Shopping Call Centre was in Asda House in Leeds...?
Let me know if you get your refund, because I was told that all refunds are currrently being affected by a techy problem...
The Head Office, Asda House number that I have is 01132 435435, then ask for Customer Relations to raise a complaint...

This doesn't sound like a genuine answer. I used to work in ASDA as a delivery driver and in general drivers will not have any contact with pickers as the picking is done very early morning, 5am start I believe. Drivers just pick up a manifest with the scheduled deliveries and their timeslots, it is the drivers responsibility to calculate and construct a route that will allow him to deliver in the selected timeslot.
I know this doesn't help you and I am quite suprised by the poor service you have received. The fact that the driver wasn't in your area is also a poor excuse, any mistakes with missing/wrong items were always rectified asap and often involved the driver having to work late etc. (usually picker's fault!!)
A lot seems to depend on which store you are dealing with!0 -
I have had loads of problems with my on line shop with them, bits missing, late delivery even no delivery once, I now do my on line shop with other shops now
Hope you can get it sorted

I do find Tesco are always on time and always have most things in stock. I also find they are the easiest to book a slot with and nearly always have an available slot the next day which obviously depends on the area in which you live but is useful if you are lucky.
If it's Morrisons you would like this should make you smile....
