ASDA online delivery !!!! up

I am seething, sitting on hold waiting for the store to answer the damned phone. Whilst I wait, I will rant and hope it makes me feel calmer!

Ordered my shopping online and when it turned up last night I unpacked and noticed quite a few things were missing.

I rang them straight away but the CS had closed so rang 8am today. Explained to the CSA and gave her the product codes of everything missing; it came to a total of £59 so not an amount to be sniffed at. The CSA said she would get in touch with the home shopping manager and ring me back with a time to redeliver what was missing.

No one had called by 11am so I rang back and was told that I would have to wait until 1.30pm as the online manager was 'busy'. Not really happy about this but said I would wait for the call although I did say it was rather unreasonable to expect me to wait on them for a delivery time, after all it was their error.

1.30 came and went and still no call, so I rang them AGAIN. After giving them my details I then have to wait for the CSA to go through my notes to see what has been going on. I am then told a delivery has been scheduled seemingly for 3pm-5pm tomorrow. Hello, what about checking that with the customer first? And what about the phone call, I am beginning to get very irritated by the lax attitude and poor communication now.

So, now I am still waiting for William 'I am too busy to call you back' online manager to call me back. I have called the store direct and have been cut off twice, I thought if William won't call me to explain what the hell is going on I will ring him myself. Alas, I have just been cut off again.

William lucked out because I am going to ring the store manager and blast him with my story. This is totally unacceptable and I'm fuming. Not because of the shopping, I guess in all the years of shopping online it is bound to happen once in a while but the service recovery is appalling-after all, they OWE me £59 can't even be bothered to make one lousy phone call to apologise and arrange a delivery.

Ok, so now I have spoken to the duty manager who has said he doubts I will get my delivery today but will call me back.

So he just rang and said it's coming tomorrow between 10am and 12 noon. As a token gesture they are goiing to refund my £3 delivery charge.....Well that's BIG of them! £3 a half baked sorry and still no call from William. Never again will I use this service, awful service, poor communication and the £3 is a joke because I will now have to go out and buy things I need for the morning.

What a joke

I have had mainly good deliveries from Asda and on one occasion I got someone else's order along with mine (ie nappies and other baby products). Asda helped refund me straight away though after a phone call.

If you don't want mistakes in your shopping, go to the shops in the old fashioned way.!! Like what i do.

But why should OP have to? She paid for a service she didn't get. Not all of us have the luxury of time to get to the store the old fashioned way "Like what you do". Some of us are carers, have kids, are disabled etc
  • Hi

I have used ASDA delivery service quite a lot, spent a LOT of money. Occasionally there are minor mistakes. The last time I had a delivery was Friday 13th August - I wish I hadn't had bothered!! Quite a few items were 'short-dated', meaning I would need to eat them within 2 days, also meaning that my budgeting for the week had gone out the window! ...So I rang the helpline who said the manager would ring me later... no call... I rang on the Sunday to say I had no call and they said the manager would ring me... no call ... I rang the Monday... still no callback... eventually someone at the store rang me on the Thursday to say I would be receiving replacement goods and a refund. The replacements arrived that evening... but the refund... I am still waiting for.. apparently there is a 'technical fault' with my refund... then when I rang AGAIN (ASDA House this time, to complain again) the guy on the phone was a lot more knowledgeable and informed me that this 'technical problem' is affecting ALL REFUNDS since at least 19th AUGUST and beyond... So I hope nobody else needs a refund!! GRRRRRR!!!!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Where can I get my shopping now? I have no car :(

What is that supposed to mean?

Obviously you are lucky enough to be able to drive and have a car so you don't experience problems with shopping deliveries...
