Incidentally, geordieracer, dmg24 and that other prat somethingcorporate are all on my ignore list. I tell you this because they are very, very sad and lonely and all they do with their time is wind up others. Me, I can't understand it but that is life.

and this is relevant to the OP because? ... I assume you have researched each and every one of their posts? finally in the interests of fairness....I haven't found fault in anything they have said, in fact some of their postings can be quite whimsical....unlike some of yours and the offensive use of the word ret@rd ...

    :D

And to think I could have joined them as well! Nice to know that some amongst the parish turn a blind eye to some remarks when they find it not to their liking, better to hide these then talk with your enemy.

Still, the response the OP wanted was to inform the store about the sign and not chase some ambulance junky across the mires out court rooms for the sake of a bandage and a bunch of flowers.
  • If a visually impaired person had injured themselves on it I am sure something would have been done by now.

So why wait till they have? Make Sainsbury aware and they can see if anything needs changing to prevent it happening in future.

If the sign is fastened to a pole all they need to is move it 6 inches higher. Job done.

Because so far all we know is it's a danger to careless people.

If we took away everything that "could" be a danger we wouldn't have roads, cars, bollards, signs, shops or anything else!

Whilst the resolution does seem a simple one it could have been the OP entirely at fault and nothing to do with positioning. For all we know the sign may have been there for 10 years and this is the first person, partially sighted or not, to have had any problems with it.
    Thinking critically since 1996....
