Er, only if they are ill.
On second thoughts, let's all claim it and let the country fall down the toilet eh?"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

Well, if you opened your eyes you would see that the OP has said that her friend is ill and looking to claim IB!
Please read things more clearly in future, it would save time and effort all the way round!
And you think that benefit claimants are responsible for the state of this country - what newspaper have you been reading?
Benefit claimants are coming in for more stick than they deserve - they didn't create the problems, may have added a tiny weeny little bit to it. Go away and tell your bank manager that it is his company's fault you are suffering with the cuts!!0 -

Please point out where the OP states her friend is ill? :rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0 -
"Hiya everyone on i'm writing on behalf of my friend thats thinking of claiming Long -term incapacity benefit which is 91 a week"
Does that answer your question?0 -

Does that answer your question?
And nowhere in that sentence does the word 'ill' appear."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

Are you for real. Why else would the OP be asking that question if her friend wasn't ill?
Oh what a sad life you must lead??
I just can't believe you asked that?0 -
Why not go to the CAB and ask for a benefit entitlement check?0

Perhaps a reality check might be in order too.

As you suggest to everyone that they apply for ESA irrespective of what they have written, the assumption of illness seems to rarely be a requirement in your own mind. Therefore you are contradicting yourself! :rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0 -

CAB are incredibly busy - if you have knowledge to contribute, could I invite you to give it here, rather than clogging up an already oversubscribed service?Gone ... or have I?0
