I've got a technical question if anyone can help.
I'd like to buy one of these, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with my car stereo. My car is an (old-ish) Japanese import and the radio was retuned to the UK frequencies when I imported it. However, in reality it's pretty rubbish - it picks up very few stations and in urban areas it picks up more pirate stations than normal ones. Does anyone know if these kind of transmitters would work with my radio?
cheers0 -
This broadcasts on FM frequencies (check the ebest website for the specific ones) but as long as you have an FM band it should work. That said if your car audio is poor then this won't improve it. GIGO0

Cheers for that. I might give it a go then. The speakers are fine so it sounds ok when I use the CD player or use my IPod through the cassette jack. The radio is an FM band so it does receive some normal stations. However, in London it mostly picks up what sounds like teenage boys in their bedrooms "biggin' up the Hackney massive, innit" :rotfl:0

Yeah,
I got mine the other day.....
It seems to be well made, and there is a backlight to it and a clock on it!
The charger is the sort that will charge the transmitter, and is also the size used with mobile phones, it seems to charge my mobile phone!!!
If anybody needs any more information, just ask!

I got one from here:

for USD8 (postage is free). It has only two frequencies, but that isn't really a problem as the range is nothing like the clamied 100 feet - more like 10. It has a USB socket to power your MP3 player, and sound quality is OK.
That said I don't use it much since I got my Aldi SD card stereo...0
