I don't have that model and you may be better off than my Freeplay dynamo torch as they it has a halogen bulb.
With mine you have to wind for 5 minutes to get about 5 minutes of light. Having said that in an electricity outage they are useful albeit exhausting.0 -

Such a good buy makes me wonder...you know what they say "if it sounds too good to be true....".
(Don't flame me - Ive bought one - and have fingers crossed).
Thanks, Potty.0 -
Just had notification of despatch for the transmitters and card reader0

for info, and it's up to you what you want to do of course
It's not illegal to buy FM transmitters, but it IS illegal to use them, as they may interfere with other receivers (some sold for instance would be useless or cause a lot of hassle to other radio users nearby as they operate on similar frequencies to local radio stations & Radio 2!).
Legal use is going through review (just completed consultation a few weeks ago). The most likely result is that a number of dedicated bands will be allocated on the FM wavelength.
Many units currently being in use, imported or sold now will not be compliant to the new rules though. Perhaps some people might want to wait for compliant devices? (rules should be in force by the end of the year I think)

trying to order one of these transmitters but when i go throught he paypal it asks me for my credit / debit card details. Why can i not log into my paypal account and pay with the funds in there?0

I got one off ebay (despatched from Manchester) a few weeks ago, it works fine and it's low power so you can't pick it up in the next car (we tried it) I paid less than a fiver.
It looks like a car charger for a phone with a plug that goes into the headphone socket. I now have all my albums in the car rather than a few cds and I am not worried about the police looking for me, they will be too busy measuring children for the seat booster law.0 -
Just ordered one with no problems at all.
Paypal seemed to work fine though there was a funny copy and paste jobby required.
Fingers crossed !0 -
If you want a review........they are all good little gadgets. and at the price you can't go wrong.
I paid £12 for one similar on ebay and it plugs in the ciggie socket, which can get in the way if you wanna charge your phone at the same time. Although it comes with a usb socket so you can connect up a usb key drive as well. Which is handy and less likely to get knicked than your ipod when left unattended.
The one on this thread relies on batteries so its swings and roundabouts.
I'm getting one of these as well cos it'll come in usefull around the house for connecting any device to any radio. For example my mobile phone to my radio.0
