xbox core + 5 games and extra controller for £199.99 @ currys!!

If you have printouts stating that the price was £199.99 with 5 games and joypad, and they have taken your money then they have to honour the contract you entered into.
Consumerline advised me to go to the credit card company (if thats how you paid) if I got nowhere with Currys as they are both equally liable.
The fact that they have already fulfilled orders at this price does not go in their favour.
Does anyone have contact details for Currys Head Office (or CEO)? I will not let this drop! The Daily Mail

Thanks marcowil. I've about coppied your advice... how does this sound ?
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your reply. However, I must point out that the contract I entered into with you was for an XBox 360 console, 5 games and joypad as clearly shown in bold red letters on my screenprints below. You have therefore taken my money and not honoured the contract I entered into.
I have been advised by Consumerline to approach my credit card company if I fail to receive the goods as ordered, as both yourselves and my credit card are equally liable.
The fact that you have already fulfilled orders at this price ( details can be provided if requested ) does not show in your favour either.
I would appreciate a prompt reply from you.
Thank you.0 -
I've not heard anything yet, but i had a note made by a CS advisor confirming that at the time of my order the SKU did consist of 5 games and an extra joypad. So i have confirmation from a Member of staff that this package was correct. I have also already had a package at this price, and simply ordered another, i am expecting a call from Currys at some point soon!!!!!0

Arushofblood, that looks good to me. I have just sent off a similar email and given them 3 days to reply before I contact my credit card, solicitor, trading standards and BBC Watchdog! The Daily Mail

Cool !
My original reply from them was cc'd to: SCCCSProcessed@dsgiplc.com and Karin.Barkworth@dsgiplc.com ?!
Anyways, I've included them in my correspondence ( Wish I'd added the 3 day, solicitor, trading standards and BBC Watchdog bits though !
 )
Thanks for your advice

Karin Barkworth was also cc'd in my confirmation e-mail that basically agreed I should get 5 free games and a controller. Rang CS tonight and the chap there said the order had been referenced to head office to somone called "Dave" (lol - reasonably wishy washy then!) Aparently it was mis-advertised, but he said some sort of compensation etc would be sorted out........
They are supposed to be ringing me anytime now........ (or maybe never????)Be an amateur! Professionals built the Titanic, amateurs built the Ark!!

Sounds promising for you then ! I hope you get the deal you paid for !
What gets me though, is that they know they've made a mistake, proving this by the way they've contacted yourself and others, but still 'try it on' to get out of a deal with others like me ! I guess some people do just 'let it lie' so it's worth their while to try ? Just seems so WRONG to me though !
I'm still awaiting their reply

Since Currys have already admitted a mistake and fulfilled other orders they cant fob us off here.
The only form of compensation I will be prepared to accept at this stage is either the delivery of the 5 games and Joytech Pad AS ADVERTISED AND SOLD or the equivalent in cash/vouchers to allow me to buy the same elsewhere. The Daily Mail
