I did this last night and here are my results:
Before, my hair once blow dried was a big frizzy mess. Apart from that it wasn't in bad condition - not too dry and not too many split ends.
I followed the instructions to the letter and whilst my hair isn't poker straight as I'd like, it is loads better than it was before.
My hair feels really soft and after drying it following treatment it wasn't anywhere near as frizzy as it would have been before.
I still straightened my hair afterwards but instead of taking 20 minutes (and being hard work) it only took about 5 minutes and was really easy to do.
I straightened my hair again this morning, opened the front door and it was chucking it down. Normally my hair would immediately start to friz especially that soon after washing, but here I am 3 1/2 hours later and not a sniff of friz - I love it!
Whilst not doing exactly what the box promised, I am very happy with the resultsDebt at Highest: £11,630.10 (May 2006) Debt now: £0.00 !!!!Married to the man of my dreams :A - Sat 2nd June 20070 -
Mines gone a tad wavy today, I wonder if this will eventually 'wash out' as opposed to just requiring a root touch up with the in salon professional stuff.0

Heya,
I used this product in April and im still very happy with the result. My hair was very curly and frizzy before and even when I used straighteners didn’t last very long!
It does take a long time but my hair was left in a great condition afterwards. I recommend that you have a hair cut afterwards as the ends do go a bit dry.
Since having it done I can’t complain. I can just leave it to dry naturally and it virtually dries straight and I can now just blow-dry it entirely straight which before I couldn’t do as it would end up looking like a bush! Hardly use my straighteners now, which must be good for my hair. lol.
The top of my head is a little wavy but this is just the new growth as it has been 3 months since I did it but you cant really notice the top anyway.
Hope this reassures some of you!0 -

I have done the yuko system 5 years ago and it was great. I did not have to worry about combing my hair for about a year. I would like to do it again now but it is a bit expensive.
I found this place on the inernet . they do it for £100 which is not expensive but I do know if they are relaible.

I wasn't really impressed with the Boots one.
I have very thick, wavy-ish hair. I found that the application took AGES to do, and the chemical smell was very overpowering! I liked the initial look, bout 85% straight and visually in really good condition (the conditioner is great). But after a week or two it was more or less back to normal.
I wouldn't put my hair through it again. Too many chemicals and not a good enough result.

The boots straightening system is basically perm technology but instead of curling, the hair is left straight. You can't do it on bleached hair as it would weaken the hair too much (as bleaching wrecks hair) and may break off after a number of treatments and i'm sure Boots would not want to be liable for that!
Has anyone tried the Brazilian Keratin Treatment? There is a similar sounding treatment done at the Daniel Hershesons salon in London. Costs upwards of about £200 though I think. Would love to know feedback.

i brought this for my wife yesterday and she spent 3 hours following the instructions to the letter and guess what it does NOT work, just thought i would let you all know.0

I definately wouldnt recommend.
I have thick hair with a natural wave - I got very excited when I saw this i Boots - bought it and followed the instructions to the letter because I was so scared!! I was so disappointed with the results - it made no difference whatsoever to my hair, except immediately afterwards it felt lovely - just for 1 wash - and i think this is because the conditioner that comes in the pack is so good.
I was so disappointed I took it back to boots and complained and they gave me my money back!! The other thing that annoyed me was it said on the box that it would last for more than one application (8 I think ?) but I used nearly all of it - and my hair is only just above shoulder length.
In the weeks afterwards the condition of my hair was not good - it felt weak and fragile.0
