  • Sounds like it worked for you then, fantastic!

I have just been reading This and it seems its had mixed results. I might hold back and see how others get on with it before I try (I'm chicken!) LOL

I used this a couple of weeks ago.

I used it on Dyed hair (Not newly Dyed, it was dyed about 3 weeks before)
The end result was brilliant, It is a bit of a pain having to:

    Wash and dry hair
    Put on the straightening Cream
    Rinse, dry and straighten hair
    Put on the neutralising cream
    Wash and condition hair
    Dry

But it was well worth it, My hair did feel quite fragile for a couple of days (you can't wash hair for 2 days afterwards), But when i washed and conditioned it (Using remaining conditioner in the box) it felt heap loads better. I haven't used my straighteners once since doing it.

PLEASE DO A HAIR STRAND TEST BEFORE USING

Out of interest, how bad was yours to begin with?
And did you straighten between applications?

My hair was quite wavy, but in fairly good condition, and yes i did straighten between applications. I followed the instruction to the letter.

Yes I used it 2 weeks ago and my hair has never been in such great condition - really shiney. My hair was really wavy and frizzy but now I can just wash and go definately worth it

great news, thanks. I did a strand test last week and did it on more than s strand, and it went curly the next day. When it says 20 mins application, and 20 minutes development, does that mean, 40 minutes from when you first start to put the stuff on, or bung the stuff on, then 40minutes from there, or bung the stuff on, and when done,m 20 minutes from there?

I did it, and wanted to give an update.

    Background
My hair is as fro like as a white peep could be. I used to straighten it but sometimes it would take 90 minutes and take a lot of product, so I just tied it back when wet in the hope it would dry straight and leave it like that. Always have had to use a whole load of wax, hairspray, etc.

    Process
Followed the instructions, and then didn't wash it for about 40 hours. I wonder if it would've been better if I had straightened before applying Straighteneing cream, but anyway, maybe I'll try that next time. I sraightened using irons and went over hair more than once.

    Result
I did this late Friday night and when I went to bed I was very happy. When I woke up, I had a shower, didn't get hair wet, but was reasonably humid in a shower cubicle. I straightened my hair (it was still pretty straight) and it was fine, didn't so anything with it on the Sunday. Then washed it in the evening, and blow dried before straighteneing. Considering the blow drying I did before applying the straighteneing cream had my hair massive, this time it was just a bit wavy and nice and flat. All I have to use is a bit of straightening/frizz gel, literally none, just to tame a few bits, but I'm sure they'll be better the more the condition gets back into my hair.

I'm very happy. It takes me about 30mins to blowdry and straighten, 10mins of that is drying. Hair is in about the same to better condition as before. I also cannot get over how long it is straight.
  • Great news!

I am going to get some of this next week. The reason I have not done it sooner is because I have my driving test tomorrow and 6 teeth extracted later on the week, didn't want to fail my test and feel horrible, then lose my teeth and hair on top! LOL
