okay guys-bit of a pickle.
need to pay off enough of overdraft in next 3 weeks so that our mortgage will defo come out. if we dont reduce overdraft by £400 the mortgage might not come out as the bank have reduced our temporary overdraft by £500 (which happens to be the amount of our mortgage). what a state our finances are in for goodness sake. such a mess. why did we let it get this bad?
any help (aside from the town hall steps) would be good
thanks guys x

Hi Noggin
Sorry I dont know your personal circumstances - but is there anything you can e-bay? Get a bit of agency work for some quick cash? The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
Don't just hope it will be OK. Work out an action plan and perhaps ask the bank for a temporary extension with you paying it off by £100 a month or something.
Have you got an up to date SOA?
Is this a one off problem or do you see it being a regular thing? :think:0 -

I try to post answers, sometimes people don't like them. I will support but I won't kiss bum bum because that doesn't help.

my dh has been on to the bank and we can send our incomings/outcomings list in by fax and they will consider what they call a "management loan" where they pay off your o/d at a small fee each month. but that will only add to our long term outgoings. they remove your maestro cards and give you a solo card. but to be honest-we dont ever really go in a shop and use our maestro anyway-so i cant see it being that much different.
weve asked them to reduce it gradually but they said no.its a one off thing simply because we started a small business up a few months ago and are still recovering from the costs of setting up. we have both taken on an extra job each and i am currently looking for a christmas job aswell. we are doing all we can but until the extra jobs start paying off and the money starts rolling in we are struglling a bit.
if we can find a few hundred we dont have to have this management loan which i think is the best option.
???????
