In a situation like this phone husband, wife or even a friend & get them round for support. Refuse to pay!

If the tow truck turns up get in the car & lock the doors, it's illegal to remove an occupied car!

Call the police stating that you are being threatened (by now you probably will have been) & you need an officer. Don't forget to call the local paper/TV station, they love this kind of thing & clampers hate publicity.

Be prepared for a lengthy standoff.

It's nervy stuff I'll admit but it does work ;)

I was thinking that throughout. Why doesn't she just lock herself in her car and call for help? Maybe in the form of some bolt cutters or an angle grinder...

Absolutely ;) but daunting for a female on her own, calling the police is a must!

  • Somebody over on Pepipoo has been doing some research, and it looks as though LBS has a grand total of 27 unpaid CCJs against its name. They range from £168 up to £4,014, and come to £18,166 in all.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Of course you are free to sue them, just don't expect to get paid.:j

I enjoyed the show, this part in particular and where they clamped the clamper - classic!

But what annoyed me, like others have mentioned, was the total lack of any actual advice. It's all well and good showing these scenarios, but unless they end it with a 'What to do if...' section, then it's nothing more than 5 minutes of 'entertainment'. It's certainly not what I'd expect from a supposed consumer advice show.

It looks as though the police are finally taking an interest in LBS

I note it was some random resident rather than watchdog who bothered to make the complaint.
