What about Twinks hobnobs, I'm sure they'd go down a treat

you can put a bit of cherry on the top to make them look more fancy
  • I'm doing the cakes for the Macmillan coffee morning at our work. I'm doing mini lime cheesecakes, millionaire's shortbread, fresh gingerbread with lemon icing and chocolate cherry cupcakes - all ala Nigella - but I'm allowed to take any costs to me out of the petty cash tin.
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Thanks for the tips guys - boobie cakes it is then (if anyone asks, I can always use Gales rebuttle;) ), plus I'm loving the idea of the Hobnobs....

SOMO1 - now wonder you're stressed with all that baking!:rotfl:

    Loving the link Nicki, thanks!

Gale - here's the link for MacMillan - you should be able to find a local one, or why not do one yourself and get your friends round?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys - would love to hear how you are getting on in your baking endevours!:T
    Is it payday yet?

  • Have a kitchen side full of flour, butter, sugar eggs etc....so all ready to go when the kiddies get home (they want to help bless them...)

Hows everyone else getting on in their baking endevours?

  • I've made the mini lime cheesecakes and the millionaire's shortbread - did them last night ;) Tonight it's the turn of the chocolate cherry cupcakes and the fresh gingerbread - my kitchen is a wreck :rotfl:

I am doing it and having a nightmare am about to poison the whole school with out of date baking powder they won't rise and my son told me this morning if i went to the coffee morning i would get cancer (think he's a little confused bless him):(
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.
  • My mum is doing one tomorrow at the care home where she works and i had forgotten i had said i would make cakes, any ideas on what is quick and tasty? i have flour, eggs, sugar, marg, etc normal baking stuff
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts
  • Would either of your coffee mornings be in Nottingham per chance? Your cakes sound lovely!!!!

Chocolate brownies! That is what I plan to make for ours. (Sorry, I don't have the recipe handy or I'd post it).
