Welcome to the latest newbies angelite and in my wellies. A lot of us have kicked off by selling something on eBay that we acquired for nothing. This could be a freebie or an unwanted gift. Or you could be lucky and just find a pound (never happens to me but you may have more luck!). Good luck and happy hunting!

Just want to check that this idea counts:

I was thinking of mating our rabbit with my sister in laws rabbit, hopefully to provide a litter of bunnies that I can sell in the local shop/free paper just before xmas! I didnt pay for the rabbit in the first place so am hoping its a winner! :D

Still on £0.00 at the mo, have just sold something on ebay but realised that after ebay and paypal fees I will be lucky if I break even :(

I am off today to do a spot of charity shop hunting, I will probably go into negative equity at this rate (is that allowed?? if not I wont count it towards the total) as I am hoping to find a couple of items to sell on ebay??

I have made up a spreadsheet to keep a day by day account of my total but couldn't find a way to post it on here to share it with others

    Rachie :)

Hi there, thanks for this, the description & questions in that thread you gave me the link to answered what I wanted to know!! I registered on the site last nite but wasn't entirely sure what I was doing - ha ha!! :D

  • rachie77...first of all if your bunnies did mate and had baby bunnies...they would not be ready for christmas.... plus you would be out of pocket as by he time you add the extra feeding costs... bedding etc....the price the pet shop pays for yuor bunnies would just about cover the food etc....
plus this is my personal view....i used to breed rabbits and hamsters etc.... and i would never breed anything that was due to go around christmas time...

to try and get yuor first lot of money can anyone give you something to sell? or has someone given you a present in the past that you have never used ...so you could see that on ebay...

    good luck....

I've just been telling cooltrikerchick what i know about swapits... i thought some others on here might like to join! We'll all be outbidding each other for £1 coins before you know it :rotfl: Thanks to emily for introducing me in the first place! :D :T

If you haven't already you need to register at https://www.swapitshop.com In theory it is just for under 18s but I put in my real date of birth and it accepted me fine!

On the left of the home page there is a button called 'swapit offers', if you click this a page will load with a space to type in a code and then press 'save'. Try this with the codes in the swapit thread and you should collect quite a few points! :T Some of the codes posted a while ago may not work as they do go out of date.

There are also 'daily clicks' where you can get total of about 35 swapits each day... you need to be signed into swapitshop in one window, then open the thread in another. This post shows the links at the mo. Swapitshop don't like people to be able to use these links (you're supposed to search the site for them) so they don't work exactly as they are. You need to click the link (it will bring up a page saying 'go to swapitshop to collect points' or something) but if you go to the address bar and change the last number(s) of the address to a 6 and press enter, a different page should come up and your swapits should be credited! :T Sounds a bit complicated but it should work!

Those are the free swapits, the idea is that you can earn them too by 'selling' any stuff you have. It is like ebay for under 18s... any member can list what they have for sale, other people bid their swapits points for it and the highest bidder wins. The 'seller' then posts the item to swapitshop and they post it on to the winner, so addresses etc are kept private. The seller then gets the number of swapits you bid added to their total.

If you can find something valuable... perhaps that would sell well on ebay... those are worth bidding on. You need quite a lot of swapits though for anything big. Otherwise, there are people selling money (anything from 20p to £20) so you can simply buy those to gradually turn your swapits into cash! :T Just look under 'swap zones --> collectables --> coins' to find the money. If you can bear to wait I think it is better to bid on the larger amounts (notes rather than coins) cos they're a bit safer going through the post and I think you get more money for your swapits with them! :T

I'm sorry its so long... I hope it's helpful for someone :D

  • I am in too if that's ok?! I have worked it out that if I earn £2 by sunday then I will have 10 weeks let (ends Xmas eve!). I think this is the perfect time of year to be doing something like this - people spend more on daft things on ebay for Christmas me thinks!Last week I put some books that were 'hand me downs' on ebay and I got over £50 for them! Would that count? However, think I am going to try a paperclip bracelet.....
